Daily Nickel update: The Fritz polish may have taken some of the brand label off (hey, eventually the case will have no outside markings of any kind and I'll have a nickel 007, which is cool with me), but it does seem to [inhibit] tarnish from returning. They claimed this, but I was skeptical. On the down side, the case feels a bit slippery with whatever the polish leaves behind.

**EDIT--shouldn't have said "prevent" tarnish from returning. I'm sure it will in time.

Still no update from last weeks order. If tradition holds I would expect to see something today or tomorrow indicating its awaiting shipping.

However to Echo UFC's statement, the order I placed on the 17th containing a Nickel and Silver/Blue is still sitting. I'll give them a little longer to update status, but if the recent order goes out before the previous one then I'm going to have to click the dispute button over at PP.

UFC, on that same topic when you filed the dispute with PP did they give you any timeline for resolution?

I think they are cleaning out backlog from the orders on the 17th. Mine finally moved to "awaiting shipment" but the order from last week is still "awaiting fulfillment".

Who ever said it is right. Seems like a big ponzi scheme. They took orders the week of the 17th. Those orders were only processed when a fresh batch of orders came in on the 28th.

Everyone go and look at the Alumacase thread and look at that message that guy got from that case!! I wonder if its 4.2 feature they through in there? Its crazy that it knows that you have a case that causes interference on the phone.

I haven't noticed any interference issues. Haven't tried to use bluetooth yet.

Thanks SESpy. I have no clue what I'm doing but I like close up pics and landscapes vs telephoto shots. I see you getting more than five pics on a post, how is that done. Also what type of lens are you using? I've got this one to try for 15 days before I commit to it. I like the Nikon 105 macro but it's $900

i signed up to the pre order in the september 8 2010 and than i got an email that called "Element case pre-order update" with some photos and links so i pressed on it and went to the extreme metal page and found out that i can make an order and pay so i made a reservation for the "Satin Nickel w/Carbon"
in the october 30.
now my order status since than is Awaiting Fulfillment - what it's means?
why it takes so much time even after i paid to them?

I believe you "jumped the line". They are sending out order codes for people that have registered with them. If the e-mail they sent didn't have an order code for you to fill in on checkout, that means you jumped the line, and they may be fulfulling orders of people who registered before you first. I think the wait from registering and actually getting the code is about 3 months.

I signed up to order before you did, and I have yet to receive an e-mail with my order code.

What the hell are you talking about? I have never seen that message before I was wondering if anyone had seen it before when using a aluminum case. Man do you work for them or something? Kinda sounds like it. I just wanted people to see that error message to see if anyone had ever seen it before. Why would I want anyone to do something for me? Thanks? well the pics are truly stunning. I mean they are artistic and the angles are perfect. I get more than five pics in a post because I upload the pics at imageshack and embed the links here. My camera is lame, I am currently in Europe, in a god-forsaken country and I didn't brought my camera or lens so I bought a stupid everyday Canon a560. I used an old photography trick and accomplished a bit better effect and macro shots but they are not as good as yours. Anyway. I am still using the Vapor and I love it. Still no reception issues.

I let my 72 hours lapse a while ago and never ordered. I was going to order the AR-15, but instead I purchased a SGP Neo Hybrid EX with a carbon back. I still think the Vapor is the nicest case out there, but I flux between 2-5 bars at home, and where I work usually get about 2-3 bars. Doesn't help that AT&T drops my calls several times a week.

okay so Ive seen all the bashing about this company, but thankfully my experience wasnt too bad. Ordered a 007 and AR last week(was on the pre order list) and yesterday got a nice little box in the mail.(we are in the same state so shipping transit is next day) Opened it up and there was a vapor 4 silver/blue and a vapor 4 black/red. I sent it back right away and emailed them. They got back to me email pronto and sent out the right ones the same day.! they arrived today, and wow these are nice! I ordered the luckylabs spectre wrap last week and did ONE around the whole edge, and ANOTHER cut in half(right down the middle)so it extended onto the outside covering all the metal iphone's edges. I installed it, and it fits like a glove. I saw 1 bar drop(2 max) but ill wait a few days and report again. SO far, siganl(wifi and 3g) are about the same. I think cust. service has definitely improved. props to element

At first I really didn't care for this case but it really grew on me. I had reception issues using it though, especially with wifi. The bottom opening is also too small and only my apple 30 pic connector fit through. If not for those two things, it would be a perfect case. I actually filmed a video review of it not too long ago.
