Case works great if you have strong reception. If reception is weak, then get the Vapor Pro or Atomic Hybrid.

Ah icic ok..I was thinking the extreme metals and chroma look best... well chroma is a bit loud... the pro is a bit too khaki for me.. the diff is they made some extra openings at the side of the sim card to better the reception? hmmmm I guess more research on my part is needed..

I dont think the Pro is better for reception just because of the opening for the sim card. The antenna is supposedly on the lower part of the phone and to the left.

Its probably the lining. There were reports of folks having success with using 3M heavy duty tape or other similar lining materials (on the inside of the case), that would isolate the metal of the case from the metal band of the iphone.

If you like the shape, the atomic hybrid looks similar, but is made of delrin (the part that goes over the antenna) and aluminum (the right side). I have used an atomic hybrid without any effect on reception whatsoever.

I still love my satin nickel Vapor though and thats the one I use most often, it looks awesome even when tarnished (IMHO) :D, but I do get a pretty strong signal.

cool. Thanks for the info

LOL I just revisited this thread. I sold my "limited" 007 cases long ago...on ebay....for over $300. Looks like they aren't so "limited" anymore. What a scam.

When will there be different colors for the Pro

I received an email informing me that there are new colors for the Chroma version. I want to know where the different colors for the Pro is.

IMO the pro will not see success until better colors are available and they are available without all the extras that bring on the high price. The carbon fiber back defeats the purpose of the Pro by degrading the signal, so why should I pay extra for something I can't use. The Pro case design is great without the carbon fiber back, the fancy screw driver, the cloth case I don't need. Just sell me one alone in a good color with a plain screw driver. I'd pay $110 for that in a minute.

Head Phone Jack?

I know this is a reoccurring question but my Vapor 4 case came in today and boy does it look good but it doesn't fit anything! I'm looking into a dock extender(not a big deal) but I also recently purchased Beats By Dre Pros and they aren't even close to fitting. This is a massive letdown. I emailed Element and they directed me here...

http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_s...+extension&sprefix=iphone+headphone+extension

Now surely there is a "more attractive" remedy to this problem... If only there was some type of extender that fit in the headphone groove; flush with the case itself.

If anyone has any recommendations they would be greatly appreciated.

For starters you shouldn't have wasted money on Beats. They sound like a pair of 30 dollar Skullcandy FMJs only they cost 100 dollars plus. Honestly you bought into the hype and unfortunately got burned for it.

Now if you can't find a solution to your problems in any of those adapters on Amazon then I'm sorry. No one will be able to help you. There are a ton at that link you posted. I looked and a simple black cable that was like 3rd or 4th down will work and look fine. Plus it was only a dollar.

If a dock extender isn't a "big deal" then why is a small, 1 inch headphone adapter? Especially one that matches the color of the jack.

Beats by Dr Dre Pro deliver a sturdy design and top-notch sound quality for those who enjoy skull-shattering bass. If you're a casual listener and can afford them, they're a worthy investment, but if you're an audio purist then you may want to comparison shop...
This set sounds great, I would rate the sound 5 stars even if it cost double the price. I'm going to end my comments on the sound this way, incredible bass, clarity and very good detail.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_3 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8F190 Safari/6533.18.5)

I would have to agree, sure they're overpriced but I actually found my pair new off eBay for $340 and I think they sound amazing. Im a university student and it seems almost everyone has the solos or studios, needless to say I feel pretty good walking around with my pros.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, thanks for the feedback.

So what you are saying is that if you want sub par sound then you should pay a lot more money just because you can afford them? That makes them a worthy investment?

While the Pros do sound a lot better than Monster's more casual offerings that are a true rip off, these aren't at the top of the line when compared to other similarly priced units. A pair of Denon's or Sennheisers are along the same price and they both sound and feel better than these do.

If a person bought these and then immediately threw on a pair of the Sennheiser 840's (which are actually cheaper) they would notice an immediate difference in sound quality. The 840 sound is a lot cleaner, richer, and most importantly the units are more comfortable on the head for a longer period of time.

If the Pros dropped a hundred bucks then they would be priced about right. You are basically paying for the name and design, not to mention that you are wasting that on the poor audio output from the iPhone. I love my iPhone 4 but sound quality was not the reason I bought it.

Waste's sad is I'm not an audiophile at all. I just know when I'm getting ripped off. A lot o people who don't have the luxery or let's be honest, the common sense to shop around just buy whatever is popular. I have fell victim to that trend in the past too so I'm judging. Just realize that your argument is really without backing and you even admit to overpaying while offering no real reason why anyone should.

In any event, not to stray too far, but those adapters all work and the black ones actually blend in quite well with jack provided at the end of the Beats Pro.

I got my Pros for $ 299.99 from AMAZON...

Can someone do a review of a VAPOR PRO for performance...

From what I am hearing, there is still signal issues and GPS doesn't work spot on still. At $150.00 I dont want any signal issues.

Any video reviews in a weak signal area? point me to it.

totally correct - I have been in the atomic camp as they flat work. But I decided to try the pro and I received one over the weekend - brand new from Element. Mounted it up yesterday and it lasted 6 hours on my phone. At my desk - which has good signal - it dropped two calls in the first hour, gps takes a long time to acquire and from some reason, email gets a "DOWNLOADING FROM SERVER" message a few times the atomic does not.

I sold it yesterday to a friend that will resell it for $75.

I'm done with new cases - my Atomic Hybrid with chrome cap suits me fine. I just went on a 18 city tour thru the Midwest doing some training for my company. It was thru small and big towns alike - driving all the way. No call ever dropped and GPS used every day to get me to my next location.
