Element Vapor Case

I will totally disagree with all who wright that Vapor Pro has signal loss. I am using it for 2 weeks now in Moscow. I can say following: 1. no problem with signal at all 2. GPS working fine, no difference with or without case 3. Bluetooth no problem 4. WI-FI, Yes signal degrading by around 10% which is not critical for me at all. Using it around the house not noticeable,but if going outside the metal door then its degrading a little.
On the foto u can see its - 69 db with case and full wi-fi signal strength with the case on. Usually i get - 70 without case

PS: Not using carbon back plate. Bought 3 more for my friends. No complaints from them.

there is no "disagreeing"..... you don't, I do...simple as that - search my posts, I've owned 4 elements.....

For starters you are in Moscow. I live in the US as does quite a few others here. Not saying you are the only one but you are in the minority.

In my area in the US (Northern VA) the signal for cell reception was actually fine. It actually made it more stable and less bouncing of the bars in the fringe areas where I live.

Wi-Fi took a minor hit. GPS was absolutely terrible. It was always off to the south and west and it at times would even work while indoors. It would lock on correctly and became completely worthless hence the reason my $150 case went back.

I loved the look and feel but it didn't work 100%. Oddly, I didn't have any real issue with the standard Vapor. Cell reception was roughly the same with or without the case. The only issue i had on that was the Bluetooth.

I dont understand why they couldn't address the signal, gps, etc. with an alternative material like Atomic did. Their answer was the vapor pro for double the money and similar performance?

Curious to know the new Black Ops and Verizon signal issues.
 
This Thread will never die, lol. I got the email about the Black ops pro this morning and I thought I would check to see what you guys thought. I see glen is giving the pro a thumbs down and that dude seems pretty honest. I don't think I'll invest. It's too bad they can't get the bugs worked out because it is a nice looking case. My extreme vapor has saved my iphone a few times.

I did just notice that the Black Ops Pro model has this in the description line "Aerospace polymer RF insert prevents "death grip" signal loss"
I didn't see that in the description for the Pro????

got a few question though
still cant decide to buy the normal one or the pro.
by the way, can anybody tell me whats the difference between the 007 vs the satin nickel ?
which one is actually nicer ? and matched with the iphone sides ?

and for the pro
i saw on the ec page , "suede ear pad" whats does it mean ??

Bought a black/silver Element Vapor 4 case.

Signal bars dropped within a minute.

Took off case.

Right back up.

Adios, POS. Bummer that I contributed money to this company. This product has been out too long for it to be suffering from any sort of issue like this.
 
Hi, I have a question for you. How do u think, is it possible that this is original Vapor Case? I bought it, but unfortunatly I'm not sure. Off course everything is perfectly the same as on your photos. I still have a time for putting back. I will be very grateful for ur reply. Pls, don't ask where is the iPhone :p I'm waiting... yet only couple of days :)

I put on ebay mi vapor pro they are offering to me 140 for it but i need to remove from ebay becouse element case cant not ship to my home becouse is PO box Before i buy it when they are send via usps i am contact element that they will send to me via usps to buy the black op case if they send via usps i sell it for that price

What are you saying? Not to be mean but I can hardly understand what you typed.
 
Before element case send the cases via usps, now they send via fedex and fedex not ship to my home becouse my adresses is PO Box

I've wanted one of these since they first came out, but never bought one because of all the problems people were reporting.

However I spotted a load of new (and real not fake ones) for £30 on ebay last weeks so thought I'd try one as it was pretty cheap.

I went for the vapour 4 in silver, and I have to say I've had no issues at all. I live in moseley in Birmingham UK, and despite there being an O2 tower just three streets away I never get more than 3 bars of signal. Yet with the case fitted I've had no drop in signal at all... and shockingly I sometimes now get a full 5 bars of signal in my flat... which has never happened before! Not sure how that's happening but there you go, seems to work fine for me!

All I can really say is buy a cheap or used one of flea bay or somewhere similar and see how well it works for you. If you like it then buy the exact model you were after direct, if not, just sell it on again on flea bay.

Seems to be working fine in the UK anyway. My only one issue is when holding it in your right hand, the pointy corners seem to stick into your hand as they're very sharp... but I can live with that as it's seriously sexy, and handily I do have a left hand too ;)

I'm very tempted to go for either the raw 007 or satin finish now as they look stunning and I'm a raw shiny metal junkie.
 
Satin Nickel tarnished badly (owned mine for 4-5 months now)......supposedly can be cleaned with a jewelery cleaner, but I dont know since I havent tried cleaning mine. Maybe someone can confirm that they cleaned it.....
I LOVE the way the tarnished Satin nickel looks.

After spending way too much (shipping, plus taxes plus duty) for the 007 Vapor case, I lost about 2 bars of signal, and GPS unusable.

Talked to CS but all they said was "too bad".

Apparently, I'm not the only one who was promised elimination or reduction of death grip problem but instead, worse, elevate the problem.

Me and a few friend is trying to organize a lawsuit against Element case. If any of you have the same experience, you can share it by liking the FB link and post ur experience.

Nothing personal but if you read most of the thread, most are having signal issues and gps issues. Theres also a youtube review from some lab that stated it kills 99% of the signal LOL. The case degrades the signal and gps all the time, just some in strong signal areas don't notice it that much. So if you did read this thread its kinda stupid to go buy one as you did enter with ample warning. Even their vapor pro is a joke. They sure do great at selling a product that just does not work, and could care less if you have issues with it.
 
I received my vapor about 2 weeks ago and finally got around to putting it on the phone yesterday. Looks great but dont like that i cant use my bose sound dock because the connector doesnt fit the case. I personally like my vapor and haven't had any problems with it but am going to sell and stick with my old case. The vapor is black and orange one. I'm gonna put it for sale for $50 to make a quick sale. Cheers!
 
I saw that a BlackOps versio of Pro ,coming with a longer plastic (orange) parts that a FirstEdition model ....on EC site,it same , but look those picture

do you see a black ops on his website and the orange cap looks much smaller that this in production
