Element Vapor Case

I just got my silver/silver. it arrived the same day I was notified it shipped.

It looks absolutely beautiful, no disappointment at all.

I was getting three bars at home. With the case on I've had two to five bars the five bars is when it's located where I typically keep the phone and see three bars without the case.

when I went to Google maps the phone pinpointed my location immediately and accurately.

I'll follow up if there is more to report positive or negative. So far so good.

DAMN! Lucky You.. You must got some amazing VAPOR case there. Seems like mine was doing everything opposite to Yours. Mine was all black.. is that the color then? Silver works and black doesnt? :) LOL

We have no reason to doubt his experience. Maybe Element has been tweaking again. I've read a few reports where the case isn't affecting performance. Then again I've read 50 where it is.

Yeah...but...to see IMPROVED signal? According to him, going from seeing 3 bars without the case to seeing 5 bars with the case? The only other place I've seen this mentioned is, conveniently enough, the email I've quoted in this thread from Element to me saying some customers are seeing improved cell reception. Like you said, we have no reason to doubt him, but have we seen anyone else say that they see improved reception? Or just similar to very little change?

Very, very true, Maybe if he keeps having this unique experience he could post us some pics of the results taken in the same location. Also if he is using a protective shield for the antenna.

I thought I was "good to go" until I stepped outside and my BT signal went down the tubes while my iPhone was in my front pocket.

I ordered another two tonight for work and home. My original will stay in my car. Good luck on getting your case soon.

Hey JN,
You most likely know this but the current OS has major bluetooth issues. I was testing a pair of 180.00 dollar Senniser bluetooth head phones and I couldn't get reception if my hand even came into contact with the BT radio. I also couldn't get 5 feet from my phone and it skipped when I walked. I had to turn off Wifi and do a soft reset and I got 40 feet away before signal loss and they sounded great. ( Cant' run Wifi and BT at the same time) Never had that problem with my 3GS, 3G or 2G.

Thanks, I just ordered 2 units black and a red one. That way when the girlfriend looses hers she can't claim mine and say " You must have lost yours cause this one is mine" :D

Yep, sure do. Both myself and my Podcast Co-host (The Convertcast) discussed it last evening on our show. That's why I made sure a power down reset was performed before I made my decision to sell the case. With the iPhone in the Vapor I would consistently get drops and pauses in the playback. I then took the iPhone out of my front pocket and held it relatively closer to the Backbeats and then the skipping stopped. I took the Vapor off and put the iPhone back into the Reception case I had at the time and back into my front pocket - not a single skip.

Also, while it is good news that there is a jack extender (mentioned about) to allow docks and cables with the Vapor, I have 2 car cables and a iHome dock to attach my iPhone to. At over 20 bucks a pop, just not worth adding to the already expensive Vapor+Carbon.

A gorgeous case but flawed. A shame too.

The Backbeats are a great choice for mid level music quality and great call quality. It's too bad that they can't tolerate any moisture at all. mine died when I was raking my grass on a sunny day. The Senniser MM 200 are amazing for music but absolute 0 for call quality. There is no unit to date that provides an all around great solution. I'm using the Plantronics Voyager pro for calls and it is an amazing device. I had my window down doing 50 mph with the aircon cranked and the person on the line couldn't tell I was using a headset:eek: Still searching for a good sterio bluetooth headset for music that provides comfort and durability.

I'm sure version 3 will be more to everyones liking. We all should have waited till christmas lol

There seems to be some doubt expressed here. I'm stating what i'm seeing and have no motive to lie. i was a little disappointed at first seeing two bars. I went to the window and got 3 bars. I laid it on the table where it usually is kept and it has five bars (three without case). i'm looking at it right now and I count five. I really didn't expect it. I suppose a picture would help but please take my word for it. Even though I live in the San Francisco area I don't work for Element Case. I'm a 69 year old retired man. Oh by the way no protective shield is used.
 
Did anyone receive a Vapor yet? Are there even real pictures of it? These are starting to seem like they aren't real :rolleyes:.

I guess you didn't read my above post : ) Pics just validate your experience so others can see what you see. No one is saying you aren't being totally truthful.
 
So I finally got my order email after registering on the 26th of July. My question is how long does it take for them to actually ship it out, a week,2 weeks?
Oh and asked for the silver and aqua blue cap
 
Well I sent back the damaged frame and got confirmation thru fedex that it arrived and was signed for. So let's see how long it takes to get the replacement back. They sent an email stating it shouldn't take longer than a week. I even asked for a free carbon fiber skin for my trouble. Figured it would be worth a shot... Arrived at their place yesterday so let's see how long the actual turn around time is for a warranty claim.

it seems there is no method to their shipping...could take 3 days, could take 3 weeks or more...depends on what the hell they are doing over there...maybe they just dont like Canadians or something. Has anybody in Canada received their case from them?? y'all 'mericans with order numbers thousands after mine and whiterhino's have got theirs while we wait for the snow to fly...

Well I take you at your word, of course.

We appreciate your posting your positive experience here, even though "we" sometimes don't appropriately show it.

Some here have not had good results, so there is a vein of skepticism running through this thread.

Sweet I registered on the 26th too. The end of the wait draws near. Although I live in Canada so we know what that means.
