the ultimte solution to all aluminum cases is to get rid of them

I sent a note to Atomic that I wanted to return it and got a note back that said - "OK, let us send you a new case that has the sides cut out, or a whole new CF frame type. Frankly, the cut sides don't work too well compared to the CF frame - which one do you want?"

Well, Duh....

Just saw vapor cases on alibaba.com. It didn't take the Chinese long to steal an idea. They even call them vapor4 cases.

14-17 bucks a pop. Says they are alloy. Wonder what it is. I'm sure it isn't anodized aluminum like elements case.

Guess eBay will start getting jammed with these cases. I'm certain the real cases will take a major price hit.

Here are some pics of the modifications that the dude I sold my 007 Vapor to made, I have to say that I like it with the mods, he also says the signal got much better. Wonder if it could be cut to look like that case that has the sides missing. Might look pretty sweet

You would know the difference. I have both cases and one looks like chrome and the other is alot duller. The satin finish is alot rougher and they send out a cleaning cloth with it. If yours is extremely smooth and looks like chrome then you have the old one and it does tarnish fast. The new satin one that I have been using has been used for 4 days and still looks brand new with no hint of tarnishing so far, not to say that it wont but its not near as bad as the old one. I sold my old one because of having to clean it almost every day. Hope that helps you.

They have not even filled all my orders yet. I know after this deal, I am done with element. Their customer service sucks. Why in the hell would they sell cases that are not ready to ship like they did to me? That is terrible business.

They've done that to almost everyone (sold cases that they were not ready to ship). It took almost 50 days from the time they charged me for my case, to the time they shipped it. They have been like this from the beginning. Element is more concerned with getting your money than they are actually providing a good customer experience. At least Alumacase and Fusion didn't charge me for my products until they shipped. Hopefully my Fusion Raw that's coming Saturday or possibly Monday will be the aluminum case for me. If that design still hurts reception significantly, I imagine there's no hope for an aluminum case that won't.

ah wow. i suppose im gonna pass on my vapor 4 too. just got the code. had i gotten it a couple weeks back i woulda purchased one or two in a heartbeat.
