For all of you Vapor users who like to plug into a 3.5 mm source like a car or home speaker I found this cable at Best Buy and it fits into the Vapor with out cutting it down or forcing it in. Very happy I found this because I missed listening to audio books on the way to work.

Hi guys.

I just wanted to ask the guys who ordered this past week what the status of their order is? just curious if we're all going at the same pace, with regard to Element Case's processing. Thanks.

Have a lot of patience. I'm expecting a refund from last week and i had to open a paypal dispute.Element case are a shameless.

I actually just opened 4 disputes with them. I have been waiting on my cases for 3 weeks and they have not even been filled and now they are taking orders for new cases with new customers. If anyone has ordered a nickel case, prepare to wait because they can not make get them back fast enough to fill your orders in a timely manner so they will fill all your others except the ones that have nickels in them. I have tried to talk this out with them by email to no avail so i decided to let PayPal do the talking for me. 3 weeks is just plain ridiculous to wait for a case. If the case is not ready to ship then they should not even be selling it. I guess that 1000 bucks that PayPal took from their account might get their attention because I sure as the hell couldn't. They do make great cases and I won't deny that but their customer service is the worse I have ever seen in my life and I will NEVER do business with them again and I would advise others not to either. Use eBay, you will probably get it faster and the prices are plummeting on these cases anyway so you can almost buy them for what element sells them for anyways.

Still no update from last weeks order. If tradition holds I would expect to see something today or tomorrow indicating its awaiting shipping.

However to Echo UFC's statement, the order I placed on the 17th containing a Nickel and Silver/Blue is still sitting. I'll give them a little longer to update status, but if the recent order goes out before the previous one then I'm going to have to click the dispute button over at PP.

UFC, on that same topic when you filed the dispute with PP did they give you any timeline for resolution?

Yes, they actually take the funds from their account right then and in my case it was almost a grand. They have 2 weeks to respond and ship the cases and provide working tracking numbers or I will be rewarded my money back. So basically all this did was give them two more weeks to get the cases ready. I would go ahead and file now to be honest because the longer you wait, the longer you give them and I know they don't like to see that much money taken out of their accounts. PayPal also said that if they have not responded in the next few days to file disputes on the newest order I placed also to get them to either refund them or ship those out. I am tired of waiting on them. They shouldn't sell what they don't have ready to ship let alone take MORE orders when they have not even filled the last batch. Totally bad business and I am done with them. I talked to them through email all last week and they said that my cases would go out by Wednesday, then it turned into by Friday and then they said by Sunday so I shot them a email last night giving them a warning of what I was going to do and they never responded so I filed a claim this morning and like I said, I am sure they don't like it when a thousand bucks gets taken back from them but oh well, I gave them plenty of time. I even offered to cancel the nickels and let them send out the rest and just refund me for the nickels and they wouldn't even do that. So, I had no other choice. I was tired of waiting and giving them chance after chance.

Maybe they're trying to fix the nickels so they don't tarnish so much. I imagine they could put some kind of finish on it. Nickel-plated faucets don't tarnish.

While that's quite possible, they have two options in that case:
1. Tell the people who paid for them "Hey we're trying to fix it, you can keep your order active and we'll ship when we can" or
2. Tell the people who paid for them "Hey, we found out they tarnish and we don't want them to. Here's your money back: when we're done fixing what we screwed up, you'll get another opportunity to order".

The problem here is they took people's money for cases that were "Ready to order" and have held it for weeks on end. It's sortof like a ponzi scheme, only on a much smaller scale ;) Toss all the funds people like UFC are dropping on these things into an interest bearing account, wait as long as you can until people bitch and moan, then return their funds and keep the interest.
Voila, revenue stream! :)

Maybe your right, but if that's the case then they shouldn't be selling them or they just offer a refund. And they are still selling them right now and have been to this last ordering group so I honestly don't think that is the case, I just don't think they can get them back from their people who nickel plate them fast enough and again that is not my fault. Instead they just leave you in the dark with no explanation and keep all your money while you wait. Like I have said, its been 3 weeks and no cases. I am done playing the waiting game.

You hit the nail on the head. Perfectly said, look at the interest I have lost by not having that money in the bank, sure its not a ton but its better than nothing. Or atleast explain yourself, that was all I asked for and they couldn't do that. So now my money is back out of their account until they decide what they are going to do. I think they know the demand is slowing way down and they are filling as many orders as they can before the door shuts on them.

You don't make very much on interest these days.

I agree that they should communicate better, but they have a potential problem. If word gets out that they are addressing the tarnish issue (and remember that's pure speculation), they may get a lot of existing nickel owners asking to exchange.

They are likely at the mercy of their suppliers in terms of delivery.

Well no one has ever accused Element of being the gold standard in customer service.

But in their defense my first several orders went very smooth, and they also answered two emails very quickly.

However since the Nickel case was ordered, 3 emails with no answers and no updates to shipping.

Bottom line like UFC said, don't accept orders, and more customer money if you cannot deliver. Its not like these are custom order products, ie Vaja cases, were they are making one just for you. They have no business collecting funds if there is no product to ship.

I've also noticed the store is still accepting orders. In the past the store only stays open for a day or two before going dark again so either demand is way off or they have just decided to take in even more money without product to ship.

I do find it assuming that a company with a sub-par product and a horrible reputation continues to have us all talking.

I think they have found a way around their way out of the tarnishing issue by the statement they made at the bottom of the ordering form. They state in plain site that the nickel cases WILL tarnish and blah blah so they can come back and say that you were warned before you purchased it and chose to anyways. I know they are at the mercy of their suppliers but again, if its not ready to ship then don't sell it. They only sell so many 007's and ar15's, why is this case any different? No other vendor sells cases and expects you to wait 3 weeks while they catch up on their orders. And what really pisses me off is that I could go to their site right now and place MORE orders for nickel cases and they would do nothing about it. Like I said, the people who have placed an order this ordering session may wait MONTHS to get their nickel cases or any of their cases. I think they are trying to sell as many as they can no matter what because they know in another few months, the new iPhone will be out and their cases will be no good and more than likely they will be done.

Well it appears that Element does not like disputes opened against them because they sent me a nasty email stating that I line jumped and didn't wait my turn and blah blah, so I then in return sent the email that had MY address on it back to them to prove that they were wrong and they said they were going to cancel all my remaining orders and refund my money. So I went ahead and opened up 4 more disputes against them just to fuel the fire. I waited 3 months to order my cases and then they can't deliver and try to turn the tables on me and say that I line jumped and ordered with someone else's code when I clearly have the email in my inbox and the idiots even replied to that email with the code to order with. I would strongly strongly advise anyone to stay the hell away from this terrible money stealing company that pushes the blame on to their customers because they can't deliver like they should. I will never own another element case and this honestly proves to me that what everyone says is true, they have the absolute worst customer service I have ever seen in my life. People do yourself a favor and stay clear the hell away from this company. The funny part is if I line jumped like they stated, then why did they fill half my orders? Kind of funny to me. Oh well, they are out 1500 hundred and I am out a few cases that I would have just sold anyways. So no bid deal since the resale on these things have died. And the signal issues and what not. They are the worst company that I have ever dealt with in my entire life to blame someone else for their issues. Just thought I would share that with you all, you can make your own minds up from here.

Hey guys how long is the average wait time to get a pre-order coupon code?

I ordered on Sep 18 2010, any idea when i should get mine?

THanks!

Element shorted me on screws with 1 of the 10 cases I purchased. After 2 weeks of not receiving a response to my very polite email asking them for a couple screws, I decided to file a pay pal dispute for items not received.
I guess pay pal takes the money right out of their account when a claim is filed because I received a package on the mail with screws today.
It is a shame to have to dispute a transaction just to get 20 cents worth of screws, but I guess it is their way of doing business.

I'm late to the party, but why are these cases so in demand? Why are people buying 10 of these? They are pretty expensive cases that are moderately attractive with signal issues and poor customer service. What am I missing here?

UFC,

Well that pretty much seals the deal for me. I was going to wait and see if they filled my AR-15 order from Thursday before filing a claim on my order from the 17th.

I'm going to just go ahead and file on both. If they want to play this "line jumper" position then they need to have a better system in place to prevent taking orders (and money) from us.

Funny how they have filled several orders for you, and 4 for me, and now they have a problem.

Ufc- your starting to get me worried so i emailed them and already got a response. Take it for what its worth?;

> Quick question; I placed my order last week for a 007 and AR, would you have a estimation on the date they will be ready and/or ship? I've been hearing many horror storys on the forums about people waiting 3+ months. Please let me know.

The 3 month stories that you hear are from when we used to take complete orders from people instead of putting them on a waiting list like you were on. If you don't get a tracking number in your email by Wednesday (thursday at the latest) then send me a note and I'll track it down for you. Thanks!

Its completely ridiculous. First they told me that I never even got a email to order after they had filled several and then the retard didn't even realize he was replying to the actual order email!! I mean, how stupid can a company be? I never received it but yet your replying to it? Damn, must be magic. But I am pretty sure I made him feel pretty retarded before we were done. Line jumping my a**. They are honestly the most disorganized, dishonest company I have ever seen. I should post the email so everyone can read it. If you sit there and read the whole thing its hilarious because the guy is so dump is doesn't even realize what he is replying to. Give me a break. The hell with Element. I bet they hated having to send me 1600 hundred back and every time my phone would go off for a new email for a refund I would send him another email saying how many orders he had left to refund. GOD it was a good hour of entertainment.

That is exactly how my ordeal started. They said by Friday I would have them, then it went to they would be shipped by Friday and then Saturday and then Sunday and then I said I am done playing this game, filed with PayPal, got my money back and couldn't be happier. I don't even feel they deserve my business. I don't speak bad about many companies but that Joe's email to me pissed me off, calling me a line jumper. Idiot needs to learn to read so he can see what email he was actually replying to. It was the damn invite to order. After 98 pages of people bitching, I have seen it first hand and I will dog them every chance I get from now on.
