I like Underwood and Ellie, should be great performances. One Direction is for younger female audience, TakeThat for older female audience. Williams for rap and blues fans. Never heard about Disclosure (EMD?) and never cared for Mumford

People are complaining about this years festival being a failure. I think the absolute opposite. Yes, it might be missing a little rock, but that's not what Apple Music/Beats 1 has grown/evolved in to just yet..

Having Chemical Brothers and Disclosure play the festival (one being the biggest UK dance act and the other being the UK's biggest dance export).
One Direction being the world's current biggest act (who're being poster-childs for the younger generation) ((a key demographic for Apple))
..I could go on with the rest.

I think it's a very well put together festival.

And it only being 10 days long? It's quite an interesting pre-cursor that instead of sucking up a full month of music, that Apple Music Festival will make another appearance at SXSW, New York, Los Angeles, and wherever else they want to expand in to.

If you live in the UK you would of undoubtably heard of her.

Well I do live in the UK and to be honest I suspect I have heard her music and forgotten who she is. Having just ahd a quick listen on the old youtube I now know why!

- September 19: Ellie Goulding- Er Who?
- September 20: Take That - They not dead yet?
- September 21: Carrie Underwood- Who?
- September 22: One Direction- I thought this was a music event?
- September 23: The Weeknd- I like weekends too
- September 24: The Chemical Brothers- Hm
- September 25: Disclosure- NSA style?
- September 26: Pharrell Williams- Well I am not happy.
- September 27: Mumford & Sons- don't mind them as a side show
- September 28: Florence + The Machine - Ok end on the best act (not saying much though!)

What's the point of you doing this? You understand that music is personal, right?

I've heard of Carrie Underwood, One Direction, The Weeknd and Pharrell Williams.

I've never heard of any of the others, including this Florence + The Machine that you seem to love.

But that means absolutely nothing. I'll listen to each one to enlighten myself to their music. Maybe I'll find new artists I love, or 'meh'.... either way, I love music festivals where I haven't heard of most of the people.

Oh dear. Strummy solo guitar based, cloned-female "singer songwriters" and a folk group. Well fancy that! They'll be using another factory designed, male singer songwriter to wail the next Bond movie at this rate! But that's what "music" is now. So why be amazed when this pile of dross is churned out again. Zzzzzzzzz ..... etc.

Considering what's happening tomorrow...slow news over the last couple of days, I thought there would be all sorts of snippets popping out the woodwork!

There is an eerie silence compared to previous years, isn't there?

I dunno, I kinda like it - it makes a change. As much as I like being spoiled with rumors, it's also nice to be surprised by an on-stage reveal once in a while

How have you not heard of Take That? They are literally stadium fillers!

You're right, it is kind of nice thinking that there might be something I don't know about, it's been a long time since that happened ;-)

Either that or I'm going to be totally underwhelmed!

There so much Apple Music could do with this. It's a pity that they are focusing on established artists as opposed to new and fresh, something which the Apple Music Service said it was going to promote and encourage. Just another two days of new artists would help - especially as there are so few venues in and around London now.
Maybe you could give it time. Music hasn't even been open for business to satisfy the 3-month trial as of yet. In the beginning it's best to cater to the popular artists in order to grab public attention. I for one don't want to turn on Music only to see the front page filled with unknowns. After Music is more established that might be more acceptable.

Ellie is really great (plus she's so hot). One Direction is also tolerable.

I'm confident enough to say that I don't know who Ellie even is but please don't show your ignorance by saying Pharrell Williams is for Rap and Blues fans. He does neither genre of music. Let me guess, you said that because he's black?

Ellie is really good, my all-time favorite artist.
You have to listen to her older songs from her first albums, they are much different from LMLYD, Outside, Burn etc.

Yeah. Pharrell is solidly pop with an R&B influence.

Love that they got Carrie Underwood. If you dont know who she is...at least give her a chance. Her live vocal performance is out of this world.

Great line up! I always look forward to this festival.

What we already know about the iPhone isn't underwhelming IMO - there are plenty of under the hood changes that are practically confirmed at this stage that I will be very happy with.

Apple TV - I have high hopes but as with all Apple releases there's usually a compromise somewhere along the line that could take the wind out of it's sails for me, but in any case we'll have to wait and see with that one.

The iPad Pro is interesting. I don't personally think it will be for me but I'm excited to see what Apple do here.

So yeah, there's been plenty of information floating about but not many leaks. I can't believe it's tomorrow, can't wait! (Although I'm going to have to lol)

iTunes festival is streamed internationally anyway. Sometimes that experience is better than negotiating with Camden-life of an evening.

I think you misspoke there.
Well... Maybe I'm a little biased since I have a little sister and I have to tolerate them haha but I'd rather she listens to them than Miley Cyrus, Nikki Minaj and all that american pop crap, at least they are not involved in nude leaks, drugs, solicitation, twerking and all that.

Yes, older gens don't spend much if any on digital music. If you don't even recognize at least one of the artist then you are too old for the event and not the demo they are going w this event.
