If you live in the UK you would of undoubtably heard of her.
I must be getting old. I've never heard of any of these artists. Is Apple neglecting an entire demographic?
It seems that Apple is staging a surprise big even in their expected annual iPhone event. Doubling on secrecy seems to be working at last.
- September 19: Ellie Goulding- Er Who?
- September 20: Take That - They not dead yet?
- September 21: Carrie Underwood- Who?
- September 22: One Direction- I thought this was a music event?
- September 23: The Weeknd- I like weekends too
- September 24: The Chemical Brothers- Hm
- September 25: Disclosure- NSA style?
- September 26: Pharrell Williams- Well I am not happy.
- September 27: Mumford & Sons- don't mind them as a side show
- September 28: Florence + The Machine - Ok end on the best act (not saying much though!)
Considering what's happening tomorrow...slow news over the last couple of days, I thought there would be all sorts of snippets popping out the woodwork!

There is an eerie silence compared to previous years, isn't there?
I dunno, I kinda like it - it makes a change. As much as I like being spoiled with rumors, it's also nice to be surprised by an on stage reveal once in a while 😎
Maybe you could give it time. Music hasn't even been open for business to satisfy the 3-month trial as of yet. In the beginning it's best to cater to the popular artists in order to grab public attention. I for one don't want to turn on Music only to see the front page filled with unknowns. After Music is more established that might be more acceptable. There so much Apple Music could do with this. It's a pity that they are focusing on established artists as opposed to new and fresh, something which the Apple Music Service said it was going to promote and encourage. Just another two days of new artists would help - especially as there are so few venues in and around London now.
I like Underwood and Ellie, should be great performances. One Direction is for younger female audience, TakeThat for older female audience. Williams for rap and blues fans. Never heard about Disclosure (EMD?) and never cared for Mumford
I'm confident enough to say that I don't know who Ellie even is but please don't show your ignorance by saying Pharrell Williams is for Rap and Blues fans. He does neither genre of music. Let me guess, you said that because he's black?
You're right, it is kind of nice thinking that there might be something I don't know about, it's been a long time since that happened ;-)
Either that or I'm going to be totally underwhelmed!
One Direction is also tolerable.
Talk about...pop muzik.
Or, music for the masses.
Well... Maybe I'm a little biased since I have a little sister and I have to tolerate them haha but I'd rather she listens to them than Miley Cyrus, Nikki Minaj and all that american pop crap, at least they are not involved in nude leaks, drugs, solicitation, twerking and all that.I think you misspoke there.

Yes, older gens don't spend much if any on digital music. If you don't even recognize at least one of the artist then you are too old for the event and not the demo they are going w this event.I must be getting old. I've never heard of any of these artists. Is Apple neglecting an entire demographic?
