- September 21: Carrie Underwood- Who?
- September 22: One Direction- I thought this was a music event?
- September 23: The Weeknd- I like weekends too
- September 24: The Chemical Brothers- Hm
- September 25: Disclosure- NSA style?
- September 26: Pharrell Williams- Well I am not happy.
- September 27: Mumford & Sons- don't mind them as a side show
- September 28: Florence + The Machine - Ok end on the best act (not saying much though!)
You are getting old. Deal with it like someone that should be older by now.

There so much Apple Music could do with this. It's a pity that they are focusing on established artists as opposed to new and fresh, something which the Apple Music Service said it was going to promote and encourage. Just another two days of new artists would help - especially as there are so few venues in and around London now.

I can imagine each night the main event act will have a supporting act which would fit into the 'new and up and coming' category - I hope anyway.

I am so glad they got Carrie Underwood to do this. Finally a little country music for the festival, plus she can sing anything If you haven't heard he live yet you should give her a chance because her vocals are in a class on their own.

Just seen they're 'only' giving out 240 tickets in prizes per night, quite low for a 2000 person venue.

I must be getting old. I've never heard of any of these artists. Is Apple neglecting an entire demographic?

I am 63 and have heard or listened to music of at least 7 of these and read a mention of another.

It's all about being open to worldwide news, which keeps one young at heart.

You can listen to music of all ages via free Spotify, Pandora and Apple or subscribe to Sirius.

Plenty of channels/options to get YOUR music from.

I hate to have to agree. The list seems stale, and I don't get the constant worship they have of Pharrell Williams. He's got some catchy tunes, I'll give him that, but I'm flat out tired of hearing him. The same could be said for Mumford and Sons (whom I think lost their direction after their first album). Why not some rock, or someone new and fresh that's not a big thing yet?

That is just over a half million in stage fees alone for name acts like that. Include overhead, staff and the like, you are easily talking about a million dollar overhead for those ten days.

And exactly who would this "new and fresh" be? Then people will complain about it being full of a bunch of people no one has heard of and have no interest in. This line up isn't for me, but I think this is a pretty eclectic mix of current Pop and "Alternative" music.

ten comments in and we already got the special snowflake "I must be old / don't know who these people are" comment. Congrats.

OK, I'll bite...

I love Carrie Underwood's music, as I do most of the others and genres on the list, but figured many here don't know country so will throw you a few bits from her Wikipedia profile - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carrie_Underwood

- Winner of American Idol in 2005
- Recognized by Rolling Stone magazine as the female vocalist of her generation in any genre
- 7 Grammys
- Time magazine put her on their Top 100 Most Influential People in the World
- Many records set and broken for female artists

And seems to be a decent person... no twerking and nude mix-ups to get attention... just awesome music.

Big fan of the Chemical Brothers here. Great to see Apple diversify a little with an electronic music act :)

Athough I think their new album is a stinker.

Is it just me, or does it seem like Apple is single handedly driving the popularity of The Weeknd? Before he screwed up the lyrics to his own song at WWDC, I had no idea who he was, and now he is literally everywhere...
He already had a hit song before that and his biggest hit was already going up the chart... So, no its not Apple.

LOL, not any of them? Interesting. I wouldn't say it has anything to do with you being old, but more like out of touch with today's artists. I mean, Carrie Underwood has been in the business 10 years now, does NFL ads and she's not really a pop artist, but more into country.
