If you think the Nazi's were left wing socialists you have zero clue. When Hitler took over the party the socialists left the party and formed the 'Black Front'. Hitler despised left wing ideology. He kept the NAZI party name because it was good marketing.

What a fascinating and illuminating analysis you've provided. You also probably believe that North Korea is actually a democratic republic...

The term was as a reference to opposing Marxism Socialism, and was an attempt to 'redefine' socialism. . They were not actually socialist. It was designed to bring Germany together in a way that both rejects socialism and capitalism (capitalism isn’t left or right wing either). I can understand your confusion, but Nazism, is and never was a left wing group and clearly in the far right wing camp.

Unlike others, I’m not here to put you down. Just correcting what is a common misperception.
Right, the Nazis weren't socialist at all. They controlled the economy. They created government corporations like Volkswagen. All these big government actions and ideas are perfectly consistent with the right wing and its limited government philosophy.

I guess communism is also a right wing philosophy? I think I figured it out. If the political system is bad or kills people it is right wing, no matter any other aspects of that system. Left wing = good. Right wing = bad? Am I doing it right?

"Should Twitter get to the point where its lack of moderation causes Apple and Google to remove it from their stores, Musk saidthat he will "make an alternative phone." He said that it hopes "it does not come to that," but will do so if there is "no other choice."

I wonder if the phone will have Fart Mode for ringtones and notifications

He was trolling, it worked since it got news coverage which is all he was going for. He succeeds and people who claim to despise him continue to help.

Aye. From Hitler himself:
’Whoever is prepared to make the national cause his own to such an extent that he knows no higher ideal than the welfare of the nation; whoever has understood our great national anthem, “Deutschland ueber Alles,” to mean that nothing in the wide world surpasses in his eyes this Germany, people and land — that man is a Socialist.’

Hitler’s definition has nothing to do with actual socialism. He’s just repackaging ultranationalism.

The conversations around Twitter are some of the dumbest conversations I’ve seen. There’s so much hyperbole and idiocy, and yet Twitter hasn’t really changed in any significant way. We truly live in the dumbest of times.

Let’s be real. The left doesn’t like any speech that disagrees with their viewpoint and they want to shut it down.

This is 100% hysterical right wing nonsense.

The right has never been for free speech, they only want THEIR speech to be “free”. It’s the right that is banning and burning books, not the left.

Also I’d like to add that Elon Musk keeps proving what a below average person he is, in both intelligence and wit. He thinks because Apple doesn’t want to be associated with Elon’s holocaust denying, racist friends that somehow that means Apple is against free speech, what an absolute jackass Musk is.

Nazi Media? You seriously think Twitter is now Nazi Media? What makes someone a Nazi? Because, the Nazi leftist political party doesn’t exist anymore. What Is the basis for your determination? What facts do you have that lead you to this conclusion?
Yes.
Compared to much of the world the USA is heading to the far right and twitter is part of that.
Countries that are more democratic, more free, have greater free speech , education, health, Universal healthcare , welfare, social equality, greater life expectancy, are happier, have less crime, far less violent crime, less drug issues, etc etc etc are all left of the USA.

I think it means in the sense that it’s a widely available and accessible place for people to express and consume and discuss ideas, opinions, and current events. It is the “town market square”…

And in that regard, no it’s not a “right”, per se… but it is a place that if one were to be kicked off and banned, it makes a leper of that person/entity and they have in way effectively been completely removed from society.

And thus, the “rights” taken away.

I guess it could be compared to going to prison, where you lose the freedom and ability to do many things and converse however you please with whomever. 🤷‍♂️
Except Twitter is a private business, not a public square. "I want to stand up a soap box next to the cool kids" is not a right. Being blocked from Twitter is also not like going to prison where you're denied access to all the experiences of life, it is like being locked out of prison where you retain access to all the experiences of life but one.

Apple axing Twitter in it's current circus form owned by the richest loser on the planet from their App Store, is Apple's free speech. Why all the whining? I thought free speech was good?

I think you need to maybe realign your definitions of "left" and "right". Fascism comes in all flavors.

Part of the problem is that's you're trying to change something that functions on a plane to something that functions on a line. It doesn't work for what should be obvious reasons.

Fascist economic policy incorporates elements of both capitalism and socialism. NAZI's partnered with big business and supported private property rights and the existence of a market economy especially for very wealthy individuals. Political philosophies aren't black and white they often incorporate elements of ideologies one would consider to be antithetical. The concurrence of beliefs/policies that made up Nazi ideology relegated it to the far right of the spectrum. The far right of the political spectrum and far left of the political spectrum can have many things in common. One tends to focus on racial purity, the other on idealogical purity.

Must suck being a democrat right now. I couldn’t imagine defending policies of a party that mirror the Chinese government.

My how has the narrative shifted since musk’s control. And with the Twitter files about to drop, it’ll get even juicier.
Why are people who worship a party that is emulating the Nazi’s so obsessed with China? Especially when they are an authoritarian nation just like all the others Republicans support?

There’s a boogie man hiding in every shadow according to the right, so obsessed with conspiracies and pushing their agenda down our throats that they fail to realize what they’ve become.

Given that several top advertisers have pulled advertising on the platform altogether? I don't see this as anything more than Musk pitching a fight with Tim Cook, like he's done multiple times before.
