And it seems twitter and apple are quite happy together now! Happy ending! But you didn't want that, you wanted your side to win.

Please cite where I said that I didn't want that, or wanted my side to win. Cite, or retract.

They talked about what they’re planning to have for dinner on Christmas Eve. Musk said he was looking forward to having cooked apples and Cook said he was looking forward to roasted musk deer.

Joy to the world, and sad day for the trolls.
Some Twitter users were really hoping Apple removed Twitter from the App Store and they could finally stop using Twitter, once their current iPhones stop working off course.

I don’t think there was any dispute. He probably had a meeting planned anyway. Tim would have said it’s the first I’ve heard of any issue. Musk would have blamed someone at twitter who’ll probably get fired to make a point.
All BS and distraction. Straight out of the Trump / Bannon playbook.
And everyone falls for it.

I wish no one reported on this guy anymore but the reality is it’s a soap opera with guys like this (read Kanye, Trump, Musk etc). And soap opera’s are interesting, not because of what they are about, but rather people like the twists and turns. That’s what’s exciting about them. They are like mental rollercoasters.

It’s now going to be hard to avoid the twists and turns when the guy that owns the messaging system and has the most followers is also extremely chatty.

Maybe news journalists will learn that starving the fire from oxygen is how you put it out…

Never going to happen. Threads like this show that there is a huge appetite for news pertaining Elon Musk, which result in high levels of engagement regardless of whether you are for or against him. More views means more ad revenue and to put it bluntly, news organisations are financially incentivised to fan the fire instead of starving it.

Self made billionaires are a fan fiction. There's no such thing as self made billionaire or millionaire unless you win the lottery.
Even winning a substantial lottery jackpot requires the help of other people. Literally nobody acquires wealth on their own.

Nobody gets to where they are in life without the help and dependence on other people.

"Self made billionaire" doesn't imply he had no help from employees along the way, that would be ridiculous and it is just mental gymnastics. Everyone knows what it is meant by "self made" but people prefer to play games when they can't win the argument.

They just love to come on twitter to talk about their elephant app

Thanks for your insight, but this is rather unlikely. Also you failed the "try not to mention the former president when he has zero involvement challenge"

Apple and Google removed Parler only when Trump moved to the platform. Parler's policies did not change; The censorship did. Can you blame Musk for being concerned about Big Tech's contempt for his political views?

Like Trump or hate him, but censoring him did nothing to silence him... the only tangible effect was to further divide this country. Again, I'm not getting into the right and wrong or a political discussion of left vs right. My point is that the world would be a better place if business stuck to business; on both sides of the isle.
Apple and Google, still keeping in their store TikTok that is a platform who is owned by the communist party and that it is able to monitor every USA citizen collecting their data, included faces pictures, but they worry about twitter!
Tim doesn't worry even that he had to modify "AirDrop" function in Apple devices to comply to Chinese liberticide laws!
My compliments my dear hypocritical Tim!

You think its likely Tim Cook scheduled an emergency meeting at their office a few days after Musk's original tweet?
The CEO of a 2 trillion dollar company is not setting up meetings like that.
Musk omitted to tell anyone when that meeting was scheduled. It was probably a while ago. He made it look like there was an issue and an emergency meeting was made because of what he tweeted before hand.

Apple is generally not ambiguous and very clear when it communicates with partners and other companies about what it wants. They also rather famously, stick to their guns.

So tell me which is more likely? Apple back tracking on an issue here or the issue not even being there in the first place?

The "Trump & Bannon reality distortion field" in full effect.... enjoy!

Come on Tim, you singularly hold the power to put Twitter out of its misery and finally put Musk in his place. Drop the app.

This is why we need (more enforcement of) antitrust laws and regulations. One person or company should not "singularly hold the power" to easily run another company out of business.
