Apple has cracked down on other social networking apps for lax moderation policies, such as Parler, so there is real danger that Twitter and Apple could end up in a major dispute should Twitter fail to adequately handle inappropriate content. Twitter has already reinstated more than 62,000 suspended accounts, including that of former U.S. President Donald Trump, and it is not yet clear if that will be problematic.

And there is the crux of the matter: “problematic” or “inappropriate content.” Apple and others of the same political bent deciding what the masses should read, and thus think.

I’ll take my chances and make my own decisions, thanks.

Update: Musk says that he and Cook resolved a misunderstanding about Twitter potentially being removed from the App Store, which Cook said Apple had not considered.
I wonder if resolving that misunderstanding went something like this...

Mr. Cook: Why are making stuff up?

Mr. Musk: You mean about Apple threatening to kick Twitter off the App Store? Surely you realize I was just lathering the rubes. It's strategy. Plus, if you hadn't guessed, I enjoy doing that.

Mr. Cook: Yes, I understood what you were doing. My question was rhetorical. What I meant by it was: It's time for you to put an end to that particular line of nonsense.

Mr. Musk: Gotcha. I'll squash it.

And now the Muskrats will go, “See, even Tim Apple loves Elon and supports everything going on on Twitter right now! Great minds think alike!!”.

Please… 😩

Apple is only concerned about what you can read through apps in their App Store.
They don't want to be associated with certain content which is a form of free speech too.

The irony of all of this, especially with seeing the posts in this thread...

.. is that the numbers of people who were complaining about Apple zealots and their hero worship of Steve Jobs are displaying that same hero worship of Musk. In short, they are the epitome of what they complained about the most. They are showing the biggest example of their own hypocrisy.

I can NOT believe that the tech car of the future doesn’t have CarPlay in it.

I’d be so bothered if I had a Tesla
I thought I wanted CarPlay until I got my Tesla. Then I tried CarPlay in a few rentals and I have no desire for it.

His "free speech" is only free for him and his bros, not for the rest of us.
Free speech doesn't mean there aren't consequences to it.

One thing for sure, Musk wastes no time in acting on pain points. Looks like Tim Apple is agreeable on Musk’s vision.
Tim does not want to go to war with Elon Musk since Elon owns Twitter. I was wondering if Tim Cook is paying Elon Musk $8 subscription fee for a blue star.

I heard that Elon threatened to create his own phone if Apple ousted Twitter. However, hasn't Elon been already working on a "Pi Phone"? Did he bail on that project? I welcome any competition to Android and iOS.
"Pi-Phone" was 100% made-up speculation to drive views to YouTube, etc. Those videos got millions of views for that garbage content. And people believed it was true.

Trump was inciting "Patriots" to storm the Capitol Building
How exactly was he “inciting”? Is there a standard for this, or does it change based on the person? Case in point — if a politician says that we must defend our democracy, and then later says that an entire political party is a threat to democracy — would you consider this to be “inciting”? Because if I’m tasked to defend something and am told that certain people are a direct threat to it, couldn’t some people interpret this as cause to use violence if necessary? Wouldn’t this be “inciting” violence?

It went like this:

Tim: Mr. Musk, please stop bashing Apple to 119 Million people.
Elon: Bend the knee.
Doubtful. Tim flexed hard and you guys clearly missed it. Tim made Musk come to him. Musk basically apologized and cleared up the "misunderstanding" without Tim saying a word. Tim bossed up and didn't take shots over the internet. Tim wanted to look him in the eyes....

Lol. You wish.

Go read the last week of Elon Bashing Apple up and down Twitter. Then... all of the sudden, its a miss understanding and Apple has never even considered removing Twitter from the App Store.

Never ever ever underestimate Apples Greed and it's Pride.

What i find hilarious is how many people here were calling Elon far right and a fascist the last couple days. And now he is at Apple HQ on a personal tour with Tim.

Kinda proves he isn’t that, doesn’t it? Tim obviously knows he isn’t.
If there’s one place where race, inclinations and politics are thrown out the window is between high rise millionaires and billionaires. This crowd is all about business and couldn’t give a damn about any of that (except in the context of bread and circus for the masses because that’s also good business).

They will instead chill, have a golf or tennis game, walk at their massive offices and drink on their yachts while they count their future cents… I just don’t see them getting into petty arguments about left or right (ideologies that is, not in the business sense) or that you should or should not cherish that you were born with brown hair and brown eyes (or any other thing that there’s no control over) and whatnot.

All that nonsense is for us down here to fight over in a public forum.

It's amazing what happens when one needs money, despite being a "self made billionaire".

You didn’t think this through did you?

Musk just spent 44 billion dollars because he disagreed with what the left was doing.
