Apple should agree but request in exchange Elon puts apple carplay on all teslas and uses apple maps! Would be 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
A Tesla doesn't need CarPlay for Teslas to go 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Teslas go 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 perfectly fine on their own.

Apple helps drive traffic to Twitter/X at least a couple of ways.

One way is by actively posting/reposting/replying on Twitter/X through its multiple accounts.

Another is by allowing the X app in the App Store. Apparently, around 80% of Twitter/X users view content via a mobile device and Apple is a major player in the mobile space.

I am sure if Apple removed all of their Twitter/X accounts and banned the X app from the App Store (not that they should or would want to do either), it would notably impact traffic going to Twitter/X.

Twitter is ranked 4th worldwide in web (browser) traffic.

Apple keeping 30% of fees creators earn through using an app on their iPhone is clear lunacy. Imagine they tried to claim 30% of a software developer's salary who codes on a MacBook Pro...

I bet you that if Musk asked for 3rd party AppStore and side loading suddenly nobody wants sideloading anymore…

It's not a "suddenly" in my case. I want neither of those things because if either happen eventually everything will be sideloaded. Security and privacy will be gone. Don't bother telling me "just don't use those apps then" because some apps are simply unavoidable (required for your job, or to park, or to pay for your machine at the laundromat, etc.). The longer Apple holds the line the better.

Musk may not have a Tesla salary but his bonuses have been in the tens of billions. When evaluating compensation at a CEO level, salary is typically only part of the equation and sometimes a very small part.

I'm well aware of his compensation. But the assertion was to lower his salary to pay content creators more. This is not possible assuming his salary is $1 for X.

In Elon We Trust. More and more, I believe twitter is migrating to become way more creator friendly, changing up the game for content creators. It’s no question that most other platforms are taking advantage of its users. It’ll be interesting to see how this all plays out…

That's what a preorder is, you pay for a product that currently does not exist. And you get perks like lower price and features. The final price of FSD is looking to be around $30k.

Actually you can transfer FSD. People already did and upgraded to the HW4 chip:

Regardless that's just a personal prediction and if it never happens, there's obvious consequences (class action lawsuit would be an easy win)

Again, not sure what that has to do with FSD.

I don't see the relation to his own business. He's been going against shareholder desires and instead are constantly lowering prices of Tesla cars instead of just doing a TV ad campaign which so far Tesla still has never done before. This hurts their margins and shareholders aren't happy.
I think FSD (on current hardware) is vaporware, not a preorder. But since eternity hasn't arrived yet - you win

Yes, there is a one time 2 month sales promotion allowing for FSD transfer - you win

My intent was to compare business practices across industries in a forum. But since they are not direct comparisons, you win

These other platforms don't require you to pay them a monthly fee to be verified before you can earning money though, unlike with Twitter / X

“Note, the creator must be verified and only ads served to verified users count,” Musk, the billionaire who bought Twitter last October, said in a tweet.

Plus, the other platforms have a much larger user base (more potential followers and viewers), and not requring anyone to be verified means easier monetization and bigger payouts.

And this is how Apple will justify removing X from the App Store and potentially use the KILL SWITCH to remotely remove the app from everyone’s device. Phil Schiller runs the App Store, his rules that there will be no special treatment whatsoever on subscription. (And he has huge beef with Elon, so this move will justify removing the app from the App Store)
I can’t wait to see that happening. Make it an exception FOR ONCE. And see how Twitter community panic 😱
Apple can just ban Twitter from the App Store and then people can just use the PWA. It has most of the features including notifications. Then Twitter can keep all the money and everybody can shut up.
Also easier adblocker too since safari works with content blocker while apps don’t.

The headline could say:

Elon Musk discovers the cure for cancer and makes it free for everybody

Macrumors users:

Omg could you believe this ego maniac POS trying to play god, who does he thing he is?

This is true.

I recall people complaining about Elon not paying taxes so Elon maximized his tax liability and now people are finding something else to complain about. Super hilarious.

Now Elon haters should say thank you for helping creators earn more money.

What kind of mental gymnastics are they going to pull now to justify their hate?

Do they hate on Apple for not allowing sideloading or hate the billionaire space man? Decisions decisions...🤣

How can they make money on a platform they no longer participate on because some dumb billionaire wasted a ton of money on ruining it?

No it isn’t. It’s a blatantly fallacious argument that has no relevance whatsoever.

Musk acolytes generally have a serious problem with taking criticism of any kind. So the notion that they’re faced with constant unreasonable pushback is absurd. The criticism of Musk’s dumb moves is absolutely valid.
