True, I'm starting to think we should just finish searching upstairs. Then if we don't find anything, we can head back down. Rather than going down, looking, and then having to come back up once again.

fine by me, so back to 2F, check the doors (2d5 and 2d14), then 2G again, check the 2 doors in there (2d16 and 2d17)?
2d16 is the one that opens, based on the narration

Round 9

- Turn 1: move back to 2F and use the key we have to check the doors 2d5 and 2d14
- Turn 2: Move into room/hallway 2G and try our key on doors 2d16 and 2d17

Hmm.... well that just means we are going into the room blind. Does anyone else have any ideas or are we ready to give the order to proceed through door 2d16?

Edit:
Looking back over the map it would seem that the Don is most likely in the upper right quadrant of the second floor. I think it is safe to assume he is not on the first floor and it seems odd that he would be in one random locked room and not in his own "section" of the mansion.

Do we have a good idea of how the Don's forces work? We know he earns money and that he can spend it to hire new goons. If my memory is correct then the "newly hired" goons have to enter the house through the front or back entrance and then he can move them throughout the mansion.

Ravenvii, can the Don put multiple goons in one room and force us to fight a whole group of bad guys? Can the enforcer and a goon be in the same room together? I'm just not too clear on these details and I think they are important.

There's a limit, but the scenario you presented is possible, yes.

"Hey, hey! Wait up!" the doctor ran into the staircase room just as the bombs guy took a couple of stairs down. "Wait up! I tried this key on a door back there on an impulse and it opened!"

Pausing, the bombs guy turned back to the panting doctor. "No ****."

It was quickly agreed that this door needs to be checked out. Queen of Spades followed her 'associates' back to the hallway, and finally to the door that the doctor left slightly ajar.

Forgetting the lesson she learnt at the beginning of the mission, Queen of Spades marched right to the door.

Just as she pushed it open, the bombs guy grabbed her shoulder.

Touched her!

In a rage, she turned towards the man, ready to kill him, when she saw the bomb in his hand.

That gave her pause, and to her bottled rage, the man smirked at her. "Allow me," he said as he tossed the bomb through the ajar door. Immediately after the *BANG!*, he rushed in, firing several shots.

Everyone ran in, thinking that the bombs guy is firing at targets. As the smoke swirled around the room, everyone fired their guns, bullets flying everywhere.

Then they stopped. And realized, as the smoke cleared, that they just wasted bullets. A lot of bullets.

They were standing in what looks like a receptionist's room. A desk stood at the end of the room, lopsided, one of its legs shot out during the shooting. There are two bullet-riddled couches lined both sides of the room. Beautiful wallpaper, full of bullet holes, cover the walls. There is a chandelier, which was probably hung from the ceiling, but now on the ground, ruined. There are two doors, to the left and the right.

They are close to the Don's office.

***

Smoke bomb tossed. Room entered. Bomb was for naught.
