Employee Discount Delay?

It differs.

A family friend of mine is some high-level executive and essentially gets 50% off. Tragically he can only use it for himself and immediate family, haha.
 
Yes, I know somebody who works in the Apple Headquarters. He said that employees never get discounts right away. They will start those discount when the demand gets slimmer. A couple of months is probably right.
 
Checked the Apple Reseller sites, they all state, 5-7 days (but still in Order). Hopefully it shows up in EPP within 5-7 days.
 
ahhh this sucks. I waited months for the new macbooks to come out, and now i have to wait longer so my brother can get me 25% off with his discount. Oh well, im sure that it will be well worth the wait! How long are you guys predicting based off of the demand for the new macbooks?

Can anyone else confirm that the new macbook is already available with the employee pricing?

I'm actually waiting for the new macbook pro to be available for employee pricing. My relative who works at Apple is guessing they will be available mid Nov. I hope it is sooner than that!

I'm on the same boat as you oncdoc, but seeing that the resellers don't have them yet, we won't have them yet.
 
FWIW, if you check amazon.com, bestbuy.com, and macmall.com, they all appear to have the Fall 2008 models in stock. Hopefully EPP comes soon for you guys!

I'm waiting for one myself and I keep monitoring this thread :D
 
yea thats for the pro, i was looking at the regular MB. It says that the regular MB would ship today.

Once all the resellers have the MBP 2.53GHz in Stock, then it will be on EPP. The 2.4 GHz MBP on the other hand, most are in stock for most resellers.
