This is far from over. Apple has the resources to make this a forever case.
The Supreme Court has denied certiorari for this case, which is final. Apple must abide by this ruling or, since Judge Gonzalez Rogers has referred the case for potential criminal contempt proceedings, face consequences.

If Epic chooses to pick a separate fight with Apple, or if someone else picks the same fight, then it’s a different story. But this is the end of the road for this case.

Allow lowlife Sweeney back on the App Store? That’s laughable. That Sweeney Snake is a horrible human being. Does everyone forget how he manipulated the Fortnite kids to empty their wallets? He’s no good and Apple knows enough to stay away from this creep
Him being a horrible person and Apple being wrong on this can both be true.

What gets me is they always use the IP’s of any and all movies, artists, etc for this same game. All while profiting due to no production costs

YES!!! Thank you Epic!!! So grateful!!! Just because I buy something on a website on my Mac does not mean Apple deserves 15 or 30%! It’s the same thing with an app!! Thank you for justice removing this terrible unfair tax on developers for all these years! Next is removing this self created App Store only policy and we are free!
Right, because when I buy shoes at Nordstrom, I demand they send the full amount to Nike and thank them for the honor of stocking their stuff. 🤨🤣

The case is over lol. Apple lost. This can’t goto SCOTUS. Either they abide by the ruling or face contempt.

I'm not exaggerating when I say that every single sentence in your comment is wrong.

The underlying case may be over, but Apple won on 9 out of original 10 claims. This order can absolutely be appealed to SCOTUS, but will first be appealed to the 9th Circuit. And Apple can (and will) move for an emergency stay of the order, probably by the end of the week.

It’s largely due to these legal battles that Apple has been forced to get back on track. Remember the EU regulations? Without them, we’d probably still be stuck with the inferior Lightning connector instead of USB-C.

Just answer why doesn’t Apple take 30% when I buy something on a website on their Mac. Please let me know your answer and then tell me why it’s not the same on the phone. And if your answer is because you’re going through the App Store that’s a self created policy of the only distribution method on iPhone.
