and now stupid Lehmann error .. again

actually the swiss SF has pictures (which are now rebroadcasted on german ZDF .. with a delay between sound and picture which makes it comically since you know what will happen on screen 2 seconds before ;) )

i suspect the uplink for international pictures or something went bust
 
man such a great game ruined by the signal problems

but on the othe side i heard the problem might be weather related in vienna .. according to a friend they had to empty the fan zones because of a crazy rain storm
 
I think this has already been the most exciting European championships that I have seen in my lifetime.
2000 was special because my team won, but as a neutral this has just been spectacular!

I'm crossing my fingers for a Germany - Russia final.

Their defence really let them down.

And TBH the luck the Turks have had, was now against them. Evens out.

The Turks weren't lucky, they earned their qualification. Their goals were legitimate, it's not their fault that their opponents have either choked or made dreadful errors.

And the same goes, but now against the Turks.

It's like watching Chelsea. They never seem to have a shot at goal, but always win 1-0.
 
As a big Germany fan here, I have to admit we were lucky today. Germany played terribly for most of the first half. By the second half they were better, but still had a lot of trouble cracking the Turkish defense. I hate it when Germany plays this way; I hope they come out a little stronger in the final.

Still, hats off to Turkey. If there's one team I personally wouldn't have minded 'my' team losing to in this championship, it's Turkey.



Also, I hope Lehman doesn't last long as the starter. He really showed his true colors today (Arsenal supporter here!).
 
I don't remember how many times I've said this, but it bares repeating:

BoyBach: Agreed. I've only managed to catch three fixtures so far and every time the side I was rooting for lost, but I think this tops the 2006 World Cup by a country mile.
 
Turkey had too win!!! I know they should have lost against Croatia, but now they were the real winner..

I've got very much mixed feelings about this game...

Part of me wants Russia to win. They beat us convincingly, and also have a Dutch coach! It would be nice to keep watching their attractive style. :)
But, I always feel for the Spanish. Always have an excellent team, but somehow never have the luck to get far in a tournament like this. And because they usually play some nice attacking football, I wouldn't mind seeing the Spanish take on Germny too... :cool:

So, for this one, I simply want the most entertaining team to win.
Either way we are going to have a gr8 final. Germany vs. either Spain or Russia... brilliant! :cool:

Best European Championships in decades!!
Even though the English are sadly missed, and we lost in the QF...;)
