i just hope the final turns out to be Germany vs. Spain ... though i guess Spain will have a harder time against Russia than Germany against Turkey

Wow. Horrible no-call in the Turkish penalty area. Germany should have had a PK out of that one.

Huh. That tackle on Ballack could be a make-up call?

Guh? Did everyone else lose their game feed?

Luckily, the fact that we've lost the broadcast means we don't have to listen to Motson and Lawrenson prattling on.

I don't suppose there's any news on whether or not they took a direct hit from this supposed lightening strike? We can but hope. :D

EDIT: Bugger. No soon had I clicked the 'submit reply' button then the broadcast came back on. They both appear to have survived unscathed. :(

It's back! Pheww! :)

First time that I can remember such a thing ever happening. Glad there wasn't any goals in the meantime.

I'm actually quite impressed with ESPN here in the US. They decided not to use any american commentators, and brought over a bunch of brits. This match is being commentated by Derrick Rae and Andy Gray.

The only downside is they are not at the stadium, the are commentating from a studio in the US.

I didn't think Germany were any good prior to the tournament starting, but I still wouldn't have thought they'd be completely outplayed by a Turkish team missing many key players.

It's the 73rd Turkey have played a great match so far, my fear is that if they don't score soon, then Germany will just grind out a win.

Hey.. one thing has become so clear:

The Turks WILL NOT stop until the final whistle has been blown

Goonna be a hot last 10 mins for Germany...

Meanwhile in the US, Julie Foudy breaks down Turkey's goal for the twenty millionth time. Friedrich and Lehmann keep blowing it... We get it already!

Finally get to see the clip of Klose's goal.

Now Turkey scores again!? Wow.
