I only ordered my macbook, no extra items, not even apple care and it still hasn't gone through while people who ordered on the 14th are getting theirs shipped :( I ordered mine on the 12th btw.

I ordered my MacBook on 10th on 09:15 h and i'll hopefully get my MacBook on this friday :(

Yes, everyone is telling me that you do that mistake of ordering another things along with your newly released product only once,) But I thought that the multiport adapter was send separately for other people. In my case I have the simple usb-c to usb adapter (too cheap to ship separately).
Anyway, mine was just today updated that it is delayed,/Image

Thanks for information. Wish I knew this before. I never ordered a newly released product before from the a-store. Well, patience be with me. I do survive until I get it with my fully functional 1.4 Ghz, 128GB, 2GB ram late 2010 MacBook Air which has really been good enough for my needs, so I guess I will experience the new rMB to be as fast as the speed of light :)

I'm due to be delivered by Friday. My MacBook and USB-C dongle are meeting up in Tamworth to be bundled together and shipped to me here in Ireland. Apparently my dongle arrived today and the MacBook should be there by Thursday. I'm really disappointed in how long this is taking.

Just as a bit of enlightenment to all those wondering what the heck is going on with all these scans...well there is proforma invoice scans that go on alongside or in parallel to the actual product shipment when shipping internationally. If there are customs delays, you'll see multiple scans on both product and paperwork/proforma invoices, and they won't always be in synch. Especially these days when a lot of times the documentation can be electronic as well, so stuff might seem to be jumping back and forth across continents, or that make it seem like the product is being scanned multiple times in different destinations along the way...

I wish they would actually attempt to differentiate the different scans/processes, so that the consumer just sees a nice linear scanning of the actual product, not a jumble of every time that item is referenced in the system.

I wouldn't worry. I ordered on the 10th, and still processing! No extras, just the higher end standard model in space grey.

I suspect we will see a lot of deliveries this Friday ;)

Sorry to hear that, did you get BTO

Yeah, I feel for you! I ordered just last Tuesday, the 5th of May, SG 1.3/512, and have a delivery window starting on the 20th of May, so only a two week turn around in theory. I'd be ecstatic if that came to fruition, but feel bad for people that ordered pretty much on launch day and aren't getting their orders until after me?!

I just phoned UPS.

The Tamworth scan yesterday was most likely a red herring and they really did leave Cologne this morning. He thought it unlikely they would get to be out for delivery today but didn't totally rule it out.

:-(

Andrew

Man this is a long and tedious wait. Creeping closer and closer, approaching 12 hours ago it perhaps left Tamworth which is 300 miles of tarmac away...

Last 4 scans:
Tamworth, United Kingdom 05/11/2015 10:19 A.M. Departure Scan
Koeln, Germany 05/11/2015 5:55 A.M. Departure Scan
Tamworth, United Kingdom 05/10/2015 10:21 P.M. Arrival Scan
Koeln, Germany 05/09/2015 8:49 A.M. Departure Scan

It's not the ordering together that is the prob ( or can be) it's not choosing to dispatch the items separately. I ordered my rMB and USB connecter on 26/4 and chose to send items as available. My connector was dispatched within a few days and arrived last week. There was no extra charge on the delivery (was still free for whole order) but the connector came via syncreon mail instead of by UPS courier.

Was working away in the garden when my apple watch tapped me on the wrist, I was very surprised to see Apple have shipped my April 17th order of the space grey MacBook........get in there!!!

:D

I find that very strange . I ordered 26/4 and my delivery window is 1-12/6. Up until this weekend the timescale quoted on online store was 4-6 weeks - I know because I've been checking everyday. It's now changed to 3-5 weeks which is also how long I now have to wait ie 3 weeks to 1/6 so 2 weeks seems. Are you sure the 2 weeks isn't for an accessory to the order because I had different dispatch and delivery windows for the different parts of my order.

Yup, I'm sure, but I am not ordering direct from Apple, but via a 3rd party distributor here in Sweden. I am sure they are getting their allotted order (which they themselves ordered immediately) and then I have gotten my order in with them in the first batch they are getting.

I guess it doesn't always pay to order direct from Apple?

Do any of the shippers (particularly TNT) alert you when they're headed to your house? My rMB is in the local city's shipment center, and even though it arrived last night, it doesn't look like it made it on a truck going out today.

I live like 20 minutes from work, and I can go home to pick something up, but I can't wait around at home all day. Do they give you an ETA, or send you an SMS or something? I vaguely remember receiving an SMS when I got my iPad 2 several years ago...

Mine went to 'Prepare for dispatch' over night.

Ordered: April 17th, 256 GB Space Gray, 1.3 GHz

Expected delivery: May 22nd to June 4th.

So all is moving smoothly so far. If lucky, I should have it towards the 22nd. :)

I also noticed that Apple has reduced the expected delivery time from 4-6 weeks to 3-5 weeks. Seems production is ramping up.

"Preparing handover to final carrier " was just pinged on my wrist. If it leaves Tamworth today I could be really lucky and see it tomorrow. It's still more than likely going to be Thursday/Friday.

1.3/256 SG + USB-C Dongle. Ordered on the 10th.

This is a little outrageous! Okay, am really happy for all you guys. But am miffed over how Apple are allocating these.

I ordered on the 10th and my delivery window is 15th - 29th May. Still processing, no CC charge!

No, they never do. I'm waiting at home because today is the quoted delivery date. It does say on UPS's website 'by end of day' but I always prefer being home otherwise I would probably miss it.

Sorry I thought the thread was meant to be about orders direct from Apple.

No it doesn't pay to order direct this release at this time......unless like me you are eligible for educational discount in which case it is worth the wait!
Also I ordered a 1.3BTO model.

Still waiting on my rMB, supposedly on delivery since 9am, although oddly TNT's website still says May 13 expected delivery, even though it's on a truck "out for delivery" right now?? Anyway, there's no note on the door, and no SMS, so I guess it's still on its way somewhere.

I received my multiport USB adapter this morning (or possibly yesterday evening), so those two definitely had no interaction with each other as far as shipping. They came from different companies and everything, after all.

Edit: Received it just now! I got a call with literally a 30 second warning that "hey I'm coming to your door, hope you're at home!". WTG TNT. Anyway glad I waited around, I was just about to leave for something too.

Just got dispatch notification and tracking from UPS: Expected delivery May 18th. Four days earlier than Apple indicated when I ordered. :)

Hows things like this possible? Ordered mine on April 13.?and delivery Window starts on 21. May... And still processing :(

This thing gets really pretty hot. Hopefully this is just because I'm reinstalling 130 programs (I like starting over fresh with each computer) and not a constant thing. I can't even keep it on my lap, although it's not nearly as bad as those G4 titanium powerbooks.

Haven't noticed any lag so far on window scrolling and whatever.
