I wonder if you could answer my question. I have a Stainless Steel Apple Watch and wondered what the name of the Nike Band colour that has a while band and black underside (the top strap in the photo above).

Thanks for your help :)

It can be hard to decipher here sometimes because people use abbreviations for band colors, but the top band in that picture is Desert Sand/Black.

Two new pride bands just dropped!

I like the new watch face, it‘s quite funky.

Wrt to the straps, the Nike one looks better in the pictures/renders; we‘ll see about IRL.

Watchface is cute but really hard to read the time sometimes. Which kind of defeats the purpose of having a watch.
Bands are...well, disappointing.
I might get the Braided SL from last year, which I missed.

Question for the Braided SL experts: since I'm only using my Atlantic BSL these days, I was thinking about getting a couple more for summer, IF they don't shrink/ruin/change in color or size when using them for beach/pool/ocean. How's your experience from last summer? I'd like to use them everywhere, even for swimming, without risking throwing 100$ each out of the window.

It’s that time of year when the next Watch rumors start to fly…one of them shows a lavender-ish color case with matching band. I wouldn’t mind seeing that, but who knows if these are valid rumors 🤷🏻‍♀️View attachment 2008865
I've never seen a concept for the S8 box design that I liked. They all scream "we have Apple at home" to me. If these leaks turn out to be true, I think S7 will be my last ever watch.

Have you ever seen a concept for any rumored Apple product that looked as good as the final product? I can‘t really imagine the Flat Watch will look as good as the Superround Watch, but I learned to be careful and give Apple‘s industrial design team the benefit of the doubt.

Also, I really don‘t think the Flat Watch will be the regular S8; I‘m betting Explorer or SE.

I'm calling this prediction a win. I figured a rainbow of sorts (I even mentioned, it might be lighter than this) within a white border, and then @athousandbands conceptualized the Nike print loop with a rainbow gradient. Put those ideas into one, and it's almost exactly what we got. I don't think anyone could have predicted San Francisco in cursive, though!

We also talked about a black version of last year's Nike loop, but we never actually thought Apple would do it.

I hate how the throwback iMac 24 hello font/WWDC cursive was right there for us.

Alas, I was stuck thinking Nike would keep the word mark/legend/inscription/jacquard thing, but it got stolen by non-Nike.

Also sue me for thinking Apple would never acknowledge Nike’s existing pride IP (BeTrue).

Again, in hindsight it seems obvious. The progress flag colors joining the Nike band unlocks a black colorway finally.

I don’t know why but i find the idea of a more toy-like flatwatch for younger fans really appealing. But it’s a weird brand story if it also makes it more durable without it being the rugged watch? Unless somehow they just merge ruggedness into the lower price point. But rugged buyers will want all the fitness/biometric gewgaws…

I‘m 80-20 on betting Flatwatch will be the Explorer model as the only time a „low-end“ model got a brand new design (iPhone 5C) apparently didn‘t work, sales-wise, and conversely Apple also won‘t want the SE stealing too many sales if the flat design should turn out to be a direct hit with consumers. Hence regular S8 still superround, Expl 8 flat and maybe bigger (48 mm?) and probably 100 $ more expensive, both with all bells and whistles (and sensors), and SE stays quiteround and finally gets an always-on display.

I feel like looks matter much more for a watch than a phone. Especially when it feels like the price-focused iPhone SE audience is so different than the audience that would consider buying a watch at all.

It’s interesting to think about the entry-level price point economics of the Watch SE vs iPhone 5c. To me the $550 phone feels way less reachable than a $250/280 watch but maybe I’m just too watchpilled.

So they just move the SE1 down a price slot and keep it? I want AOD for all models but maybe no-AOD is the new “they’re still selling the s3?!”

Me, too; that‘s why I feel Apple won‘t risk that the “cheap“ Watch with a brand-new design might be a runaway hit.

Actually, I would assume the S3 price point just goes away. It seems unsustainable for a quality Watch. Also, two different SEs being on sale at the same time would be quite confusing for regular consumers.

So we thinking 2020 NikePride but in black for next year?

Yeah I mean price slot, doesn’t have to match the number, lord knows always bet higher with Tim.

@choreographics at the risk of outing myself as the only user of iMessage stickers…could you give us a catch-all pride sport loop sticker now there’s four in the collection? 😇🦄🤞🏽🙌🏽🫶🏽
