Ok that’s what i figured from your profile…oh damn that’s Apple’s “light orange” from the Sunshine sport loop I would kill for as a rubbery ”goo” band. If we wish hard enough, it’s coming this fall.

For now you’ll just have to get the Hermes Ambre haha. Truly the most neglected color in the band range.
2016 Yellow and a brief recolour in PS Fix…

I‘m thinking to buy the new black pride sport loop. Can anyone tell me if the loop can make sratches on my space black titanium apple watch? Thank you :)

The titanium is MUCH harder than the fabric or plastic connectors. I don’t think you have anything to worry about.

The only bands you need to worry about scratching the watch are any with DLC (diamond like coating), which as far as I know are the milanese loop and link band.

was there any explanation on the discontinuation of the woven nylon bands? is it bc apple wants you to buy the +350 hermes bands instead? bc lmao
I think simply low sales and the sport loop was much more popular for comfy textile bands right away.

The Hermes nylon didn’t come out for three years after and I don’t think a $50 product and a $320 product compete for the same customer but maybe my math is off?

yeah your math is really off.

Spring bands: lemon zest, eucalyptus, bright green, white

Summer bands: nectarine, blue fog, mineral green

Just pretend the summer bands came out in June and it’s like every other year before the International Collection summer.

I’d love for Spring/Summer 2022 to break an all time record for new colors but id need to be convinced.

And which colors from the sport loops would they do?

Blue Jay? Oat Milk? Apricot? Light Lilac? Peony?

They released winter bands in fall for series 7, as well.

Yeah last summer we had a curiously different situation. My theory was we were meant to get summer bands but Apple decided to instead focus on the international collection due to the olympics, so we got those instead.

The regular iPhone (12) cases, however, were in fact updated with new colours for summer that were not matched across the Sport Band/Solo Loop line - i really don’t see why we couldn’t get a Sunflower or Cloud Blue Sport Band. I’m still hoping like last summer iPhone 13 gets some final new case colours, guess we’ll find out in a week or two

But more so - I really hope there are some new summer bands coming, its been a while since i bought a new band.

I really have to say - I spent a short while at the Apple Store today to put some time into properly seeing and trying on bands released from the Spring Collection, and I can’t believe I’m saying this, but this may be the first major watch band release where basically almost nothing interested me. It’s easily by far the most underwhelming Spring release in my opinion since Apple started doing it in 2016.

For comparison, last Spring I bought: Capri Blue Sport Band, Pistachio Solo Loop, Tomales Blue Solo Loop, Cantaloupe Sport Band, Electric Orange Braided Solo Loop (and wanted - Sea Salt Sport Loop, Sunflower Sport Loop).

This Spring so far - nada.

Anyways, back to trying on the bands, some quick thoughts:

Blue Fog Sport Band would be a shoe-in purchase - but I already have the Cornflower Sport Band, its far too similar. If it was available as a SOLO LOOP, that would be a good reason to buy as it differentiates more from the similar Sport Band I have, but Apple decided to do that dumb thing again and make Spring colours exclusive between Sport Band and Solo Loop and Blue Fog is only there as a Sport Band - I just don’t get the reasoning. The rest of the Sport Bands didn‘t impress except Lemon Zest, but I have Canary Yellow already and this looks identical

The Solo Loop colours are boring. Dark Green (Eucalyptus), Light Green (Mineral), Canary Yellow clone (lemon zest) and a lazy resurrection of a previous forgettable colour (Nectarine). Much prefer last years palette of Pistachio, Tomales Blue and Cantaloupe. They didn’t release a blue, the most interesting one was Mineral Green, but find myself preferring Pistachio from last year and don‘t think the Mineral would match well with what I wear.

The Braided Solo Loop colours are pretty disappointing too. We got white (Starlight), grass green (Bright Green) and bright pink (Flamingo). Really? That colour palette isn’t appealing at all imo. The most interesting was the Starlight - but I’m not for the ’neutral’ tone, this should’ve been released at launch - same reason I passed on the Chalk Leather Link of last year.

No new leather bands is another big thumbs down and Apple actually removed all the existing leather links from display at the store. They’re all out of season to be fair

The Sport Loop had one of them I have a slight inkling of curiosity to maybe buy - the Light Lilac/Lavender one. I’m really on the fence about this one… It didn’t look too bad with my Titanium watch

I looooove the new braided solo loops. The bright green is one of my new favorites, and I'm still waiting on my back-ordered flamingo. It'll be here in July!

So much green! Alas the sport loop collection floors me. Best one of the funky era that started with S5.

Also they didn’t “leak” any colors like Cloud Blue or Beryl or Coastal Gray with the spring 2022 big software update. And the “winter” bands came in fall.

Either they wanted to give themselves a manufacturing head start because Covid or doing fashion house quarterly drops was a fashion affectation of the Angela Ahrendts era.
