If I tried to make everyone’s favorite band look accurate, I would go crazy. I’m just doing it for fun. I probably had Seafoam better but then someone whined about Celestial Teal…

Even Apple can’t get a picture of a single band to look “accurate.” Don’t worry I’m never doing a picture like this again because no one seems to enjoy them.

Obviously everyone else is way better at it.

Please don’t stop with your panorama comparisons! I, for one, find them both both incredibly beautiful and helpful!

The more bands in the shot, the harder it is to balance the color correction across the spectrum…folks just need to need to understand that’s a fact of life.

Can’t make everyone happy. I appreciate your comparison pics! 🙌🏻 🫶🏻

And if you think all that goes into editing them is white balance—big LOL. Perhaps turquoise/teal was setting myself up failure on a few fronts. Blue-green is so wicked and chameleonic.
a lot of people do not realize that the human eye can see more shades of green than any other color. it is probably one of the most difficult colors to capture and adjust. i appreciate your posts =]

Once I find this band, I will have all of the woven nylon bands that were available in the US in my collection.
I think I saw this the other day on eBay from macblowouts?

I love the woven nylons too! I just ordered the white/black checkered. I really want the black pinstripe one (the narrow stripes).

Thanks to @nattK for responding to my ad and selling me an unused M/L section of the 2020 Nike Pride band to go with the pin side I found on EBay. I was starting to think this band in 40mm is made of unobtainium, as it couldn’t be found stateside at any price, even used. Anyway, here’s my now-complete band, just in time for Pride month!

Good catch! I actually attempted to order one from MB last summer but was sent a Gold/Royal Blue. Gold/Red ended up out of stock. It looks like they have plenty in stock now.

In my opinion, the biggest issue with those large comparisons - outside of color grading/accuracy - is that the post does not include any of the band names. Which yes, would be difficult - but then cant be searched for in the future and making it less useful.

Someone should start a database, maybe on a popular game chat app

Bingo. Color accuracy and labeling what’s in the picture would be useful for everyone. Others have done it elsewhere without drama.

Not here for the drama but couldn’t help myself but mention aren’t all those bands labeled though?
