I noticed that has gold accents - was it a special loop for the Series 0 Edition Models or did you have it plated?

It’s just weird lighting, the accents are silver. I am considering buying an Edition Classic buckle with gold accents, though.

edit: I impulsively bought a midnight blue first gen classic buckle W/ Yellow Gold accents.

Yeah I had the same thing when I ordered the Royal Pulse/Black Sport Band. Signature, really Nike! While I didn't have to sign for it, I did have to answer my door and give the guy my name. He then handed me the package.

how do you like Royal Pulse? It looks really good with Desert Sand in my opinion.

While I realize that we’re still a ways out from the start of June, I must get 2 thoughts off my chest:

I am hoping that this year’s summer offering is akin to that of 2019. Looking back, 2017 and 2018 both felt like spring ensembles (pastel tones), with only 1 or 2 exceptions such as Nike’s gamma and obsidian & the annual pride option. 2019 brought what I would expect for a “summer” palette - more saturated/bold colors.

I’m also very much hoping that they bring back the original sport loop style (eg. Nectarine, Product Red v1). I’ve had have zero interest in the current format. Hate to be a party pooper, but ever since the split-tone style was introduced, the sport loop category of my collection has grown only on the Nike side. Approximately 50 in total, 13 of which are loops (7 Apple, 6 Nike). At the rate we’re going, I’m definitely not expecting a return. Apple seems to ditch formats over time (eg. classic buckle, nylon with buckle).. but I suppose I can dream, right?

Well history says the summer 2020 is the final season for the tri-tones. Looks like the original color-with-white-overfuzz lasted a year, as did the fall 2018 flip to the darker-than-base tone overfuzz. But I also wonder if they’re kind of out of new internal fuzz patterns and the basic combinatorics of doing multicolors means we’ll see the series 6 sport loops continue the “fun” of the look that arrived with series 5 ???

(shot in the dark if we are indeed getting a sleep-capable battery...maybe the new loops will have some pseudo-science “sleep-friendly” colors...I’m sure there’s a quack influencer on payroll ready to tell us about special colors to get our full eight hours of REM...maybe they’ll call one of them melatonin lol)

(I didn’t care for grapefruit when apple sent it by mistake but it is such a nice watch face color for orange and pink bands, especially hyper crimson; the black lugs on the hyper crimson really work on the black and gray watches, I think it was a good call given that Nike bands are ”meant” for a certain aluminum coutnerpart)

This right here.. is why I love this thread & you guys! Never noticed that there was such a clean rhythm to the band formats. (On that note, wow does time ever fly..)

Definitely an interesting idea. Sounded far-fetched until you mentioned the name. That actually isn’t so crazy! Other ones could be named involving words like “Dusk” / “Dawn” — considering they already did “Midnight Fog” after all.

How about names using Twilight, Glimmer, Aurora, Astronomical, Nocturnal, Slumber, Dreamy, Somnambulant, or Crepuscular (okay, the last couple are unlikely, but my wife loved ”crepuscular”).

Should definitely go for it with a generous offer like that. I've got 2, for the wife and I when we travel. They are great -- keeps everything secured, safe, and puts all on-display when needed. They also weigh next to nothing, which is nice.

pretty awesome of you to give those for free, and offer the box for a good discount. Still looking for a good storage solution for my 50+ Bands. I’ve had a few trays in the past, and they unfortunately don’t hold S/M bands very well without a lot of wasted space. Any recommendations?

A lot of people in here were super nice in helping me at different times, and I just want to pay it forward. In regards to your question, the box I have is a great way to hold a lot of bands in place, I really liked using it.

Ah, you're on to something. I was thinking of the stars, entirely missed the moon. I can imagine a few pale gray and blue/gray shades with Lunar prefixes.

The black refurb 4 is mine, borrow the s4 gold, white is the irresponsible gluttony purchase. I really wanted to make my black s2 last forever but it had this nasty shut-down issue and fake battery drain (repair depot could not reproduce the issue) so when the refurbs went up last spring and I had the chance to stack a friends and family discount, I cashed it in for $105, which is crazy because I think they give a lot less for GiveBack now. Of course I spent that gift card on bands?!

I’d like to see a celestial purple-blueish band come in Fall, maybe alongside an actual purple, like The famous Ultra Violet.

I'm a bit confused - Ultra Violet is a bluish-purple. I'd like to see a more true purple, an even mix of red and blue. But any new purple is fine with me. Green would be cool too.

Hows your experience with refurb been? I’m still on a S1, waiting for some refurb 5’s to come out.

I’ve always loved the discount for Macs and never experienced any Apple refurb as anything but new. The only downside is getting stuck with a default band. I have two black/space black sport bands now that I’ll never use. I wonder if the s5 will get the picker or just the ones Amazon/Best Buy pairs.

I wonder if the refurb watches are brand new outer cases like Macs, of course with the space black DLC it would be hard to know if they replaced the sapphire front, whose top coat def scratches sometimes.

By the way, in my case, despite FedEx's automated systems reminding me several times that there was a package inbound that I'd have to sign for, they tossed it on the front porch, and the entire conversation consisted of, "thanks!", "you're welcome". No giving name or anything.
