If I like a color and am afraid of wearing it out, I'll buy a duplicate (or two - in case of my workout bands). Resell - I honestly never looked at doing that, but that is me, to each their own.
I was pretty tempted to buy a second Pride Nike just to keep for resell, but I decided it wasn’t really worth holding onto it in the end. Besides, I’d be sooooo tempted to open it.

You’d almost have to, just to make sure it worked properly.

I always purchased aluminum. Series 2 then Series 4. When the 5 came out, they were discounting the S4 Stainless models at Best Buy for I think near 40% off. I bought one, I couldn't pass it up. If money is no object, or if you get a good deal, I prefer the Stainless. The watch feels a lot more like a traditional watch in terms of weight. The Stainless black case is beautiful. I wear the Stainless majority of the time, aluminum to work out with and usually to sleep with. Then put that on the charger and throw on the stainless. My perspective is, since I'll likely be replacing it more frequently due to the tech upgrades, I'll stick with Aluminum unless I can find a deal on a stainless model that sings to me.

Regarding durability, many seem to swear by the stainless models but I don't have a nick on my aluminum and nothing wrong with the screen either. I do use screen protection though.

Weight wise, flipping between the two each day, I barely notice much of a difference.
I’m pretty clumsy and I’ve banged my aluminum watch into door frames and edges more times that I like to think about and so far, knock wood, no scratches. I also wear a screen protector which I’ve gouged up pretty good but knock wood again no damage to the screen itself. Good feedback on the weight. I think you’re right, given the relatively short shelf life of the watch, getting a good deal makes the price of the ss more palatable.

I grabbed it!

I love my lilac loop. It’s one of my favorites. So gorgeous. Only thing I wish is as @toxtrepla said is that it were reflective.

Speaking of lilac (and rose red), curious what you ended up trading your lilac band for in the end.

Nothin'! chargerstore mistakenly said they had a Rose Red 42mm :(

That's the main one I'm still looking for, I have bands to trade if anyone has it with all 3 parts & box (opened is fine).

and AGREED about Lilac loop!

Ah, dang, that’s a bummer! Looks like we both missed out on that trade, though I didn’t have the S/M or box. Good luck in your search!

Question: Does anyone know why Apple changed some of the numbers for identical bands in 2019? Especially Nike Bands. Nike Sport Band Black/Volt changed from MQ2H2/MQ2Q2 to MTMN2/MTMW2. There're also new numbers for
Pure Platinum/Black or Anthracite/Black. Any ideas? New box in black? Black 2nd Gen?

I’d have to double check the master chart. But I think what happened is these were first introduced for sale during the series 3 era in 38/42 mm sizes. When the series 4 was introduced, they were rebranded as 40/44 mm. I’m guessing the model numbers changed at that time.

transition from 42mm -> 44mm most likely. Both bands are slightly different, as you said, they both have different boxes, and the blacks are a bit different.

Just 46? You mind if I double check your spreadsheet, boss?
Now, he did say boxes for 46% of his collection.....
Yeah the precision is what troubles me lol
81 bands total, i have 38 boxes, so 38/81= 46%.

Well, it's actually 46.9%, so 47%, i just forgot to round up.

Good thing I asked! What would you do without us?

Is there any way to be notified immediately when items like these post or do you just have to manually check throughout the day? I only get notifications from Mercari and eBay once per day--by then, anything good has already been sold.
