I feel like I’m coming around to the pre-stitching mashed potato first-gen leather buckle. Maybe I was just lusting after pics of the midnight blue/gold edition version for too long the other night and changed my brain chemistry...

I passed on a $22 edition midnight blue gold buckle on posh and hated myself for the rest of the week.

Okay so this is interesting. Noticed that the box says Fauve Barenia, but it's definitely Noir. It has all the markings on the lugs and the buckle, as well as on the back of the watch. Do we think this is just a mismatched box to band situation? Given that it has every single genuine marker I'm assuming it's not a clone.

How can you tell the difference between 2016 and 2017?
I think the employee band has a light blue stripe in it and the 2017 does not.
softer fade with more colors.

I’m not educated enough to make any meaningful reply, but yeah, most likely a mismatched box. The fakes don’t bother to copy stamps or engraving.

Not sure. Sometimes they just do.

But they both had a sticker stating the retail modelno. of the band. However on the upper box it was damaged and I peeled it off. In my experience bands that are sold bundled with a watch never have that retail sticker on the box.

Likely a mismatched box. There have Ben a few instances of fake or knockoff bands though, so I assume yours has the serial number stamped in? Most fakes go through the effort of replicating the logo on the buckle and the brand stamp.

What band is everyone wearing today?

I was phone banking today to remind people how important it is to vote and to remind them to register to vote if they are not already registered. So I thought this would be a good shirt and band to wear. 100 days until the election!!!!!

No matter who you vote for, it is so important to VOTE!!!!!

Would if I could 😔

Love the blue orbit! Should’ve brought mine.

Yeah it's got the serial number stamped in, the size stamped in, the hermes branding stamped in. Then each lug has "Made for Apple Watch" and the Buckle has "Hermes" and "Stainless Steel" on it. Unsure what the leather should feel like but it doesn't feel cheap. Guess I just have to assume it's genuine, no real way to verify it.

Ever so often you throw a cheap bid on a cheap auction, forget about it, then you get a classic buckle for $15. Neat! It will be my third classic buckle. Pretty proud I have 3 for the total of $75 vs $450+ retail 😯

Like a clueless noob, I thought I could be satisfied with just the costal gray band that I got with my new s5 Watch. I seem to have forgotten how I became addicted to different bands with my old Watch. Yep, right back into it! I found a few more I simply MUST have.

Here in Germany is anybody with a sealed black classic buckle and nobody want it for 49€.

Actually there is a pretty sure way to verify. The buckle of the clones is quite different when viewed from the side (left is original):
