Today’s band — Cornflower sport loop. Really love the loops in the Summer 2018 line.

Can you spot the little bit of BBQ sauce that somehow got on it. Harumph. Gonna have to try give that a cleaning a bit later.

With enough BBQ it might not taste too bad. Wouldn’t recommend eating your sport loops though. It’d make retrieval a bit of an unwanted adventure.

Looks great! Slowly learning to appreciate the loops and now I need all of them. Have I mentioned how much I hate you guys?

Yeah, I think it’s safe to say that sport loops are not good eats.

Also, I would think butter, salt and pepper would be more appropriate accoutrements to cornflower. But that’s just me.

There really should be a very strong warning and disclaimer on this thread. I love that we’re all so supportive of each other’s hobbies. But my credit card company loves it too.

Yeah, Pink Blast is discontinued. It has been since I think Fall or Spring. Apple only has them in stock because they can’t sell them in stores. Once the stock goes out online, that’s it. I couldn’t imagine they have more than maybe 150-200 left.

Nike Royal Pulse/Lava Glow. I know it doesn’t get much love around here, but I love the subtlety of it and bringing out the threads with other clothing.

To me, it’s so close to looking like anchor gray at a casual glance, (which I like more), but I’m growing on the lava-glow a bit. Under the right lighting, you can catch the color threads which are a pastel blue and pink, which is an odd choice for the name I think.

BestBuy is selling them right now for $39. They only have the 44mm, though.

That's the current model (Pink Blast/True Berry Sport Loop) that they have in stock. The Nike Sport Band (Black/Pink Blast) is only at Apple.

I mean, these colors were out of stock online forever. The distribution centers weren’t getting any new stock, so I’m pretty sure the factories just weren’t sending any over. Once COVID hit, all retail stores were probably told to send back discontinued product on a set list, with the old bands being on there. Once the distribution centers run out, it’ll be like before stores closed, and they’ll be back out of stock online. IIRC Best Buy is also out of Fall 2019 colors, and so are most authorized dealers.

Is cactus anywhere to being close to a celestial teal band without the holes? Just curious as that may sway my decision...

Quite possibly the best band combo I have seen with the ceramic! Nice pic thanks for sharing. I was also lucky to pick up a thin striped black woven nylon for my 44mm titanium and it looks great! I didn’t even know these thin striped bands existed until a couple of weeks ago thanks to this thread!

thanks! Very helpful especially with that celestial teal pic, looks like cactus is a little brighter than celestial teal. And light seems to greatly affect the color. Still not 100% decided, now comparing it to pine green too. Basically looking for the more “teal” of the two since I don’t want to buy both.

great thanks, just what I needed to know. I was thinking that as well, it just appears bright in some photos and a nice darker teal in others. I suppose same with celestial teal, light seems to really affect the shade seen. I’m going to probably order cactus seeing such a strong recommendation here, and hold off on my eventual hope to find a celestial teal sport band.

update: ordered cactus, excited to get it. Although i think Best Buy delivery is slower than apples so may be a few days...sigh.

It’s a bleak color for a bleak life right now.
