My watch band buying has a defined and repeatable pattern...

1) Find rare band, but it’s quite expensive...
2) Think about it for a few days before pulling the trigger.
3) Same band comes up much (much) cheaper a few days later.
4) Feel obligated to buy the cheaper one too, almost to punish myself for my impatience...

So, only 38 more posts and I can access the Marketplace...

Are those 42mm Celestial Teal/Black?! I’ve been looking for one.

How do you tell fake Hermès from real Hermès?
The underside has a whole printing scheme of serial numbers on the buckle strap and then a maker’s mark on the tongue strap. Plus the leather color on the underside doesn’t look right, should be more saddle-y. Also the lugs don’t look right either but I’ll let you judge that, expert.

See here on a listing from...the same exact seller.

Fwiw the deployment buckle is probably real. The most interesting thing is trying to clock whether the seller knowingly is selling a fake...I usually cynically assume the worst but it’s hard to say here.

Sounds like you got great deals on your bands though so you prob will not suffer a loss if you sell them. Then you have all the thrill of the chase again for the 40 mm bands! Which 40 mm watch are you thinking of?
After poking around the Apple store today, I think I’m probably sticking with my 44mm. 40mm looks nice on my wrist but it’s so small it almost feels like a toy. I’m quite spoiled by the large size. 40mm maybe as a second watch 😉 On a side note... I was entranced by the natural titanium watch..... oh dear.

Throwing this out again

I love Natural Ti It's amazing. I bought a Series 5 from a MR user and will maybe buy a Series 6 - I like it that much.

Want to buy my Series 5? lol (Don't worry Mods, I will post an official sale thread on the marketplace when I decide to do so :) )

Yeah it’s a tough call. If you’re going for the stunting bling bling boyfriend watch (no matter your gender) the context makes sense, especially if you get a steel watch. But when I started collecting 38/40mm, it was because of the way Serenity Caldwell described it on a podcast before Apple snapped her up...the 4244mm announces itself as a smartwatch while the 3840mm can kind of sneak by as a normal watch/little black dress vibe. But yes it is kind of cute and toy-like seeing the modular face, for example, shrunk down.

Finally was able to find this gem for a great price! One regret purchased finds redemption haha

Yes, seeing a 42/44 on anyone’s wrist, men included, gives off that large screen glimmer/blinding reflection? Unless you have a huge arm the screen takes up a lot of space. It looks the same on my wrist as it does on a lot of average to slender men’s wrists, normal but definitely a smart watch. I’m in too deep with the 42/44 collection... I don’t see it making sense getting rid of them just to have a smaller footprint on my wrist. I can see picking up a smaller cheaper watch for other occasions.

Welp. I may just need this band from chargerstore.. thanks
I’ve never seen it so light! Only dark and shiny.
