Yes it’s made for watches. Technically it doesn’t get you back to factory, as under very specific light you can see a swirl pattern you may have left, but it will get gashes out and in most light restore the perfect lines of your brushed finish. It takes some patience and skill, but is very rewarding zen fun time practice in itself. We can have a dorm room bull sesh about what is really being gashed, the Ti itself or the overcoat, but the soft properties of Ti make it even easier to refinish than the stainless steel.

Because I am a crazy person, I have been toying with the idea of getting a series 5 Hermes, which I would wear with leather watch bands. One I am looking at says it is AT&T. Is that a thing? I thought it had been a couple years since they changed it so watches are compatible with all carriers.
I just did a cursory search and if it was ever true that Watches could be carrier-locked like cellular iPads were at one point, it seems like they are not today. They probably just listed that because it says AT&T in settings but has radio band support for all US carriers.
More pressing, what band does it come with or if not, what bands are you eyeing? I’m always itching to Hermes out our beloved thread here because the actual Hermes thread does not quite capture the vibe we have here. Much more focused on shipping and tats and import cars.
I desperately want Bambou. It comes with that cool one that is half brown and half brown print on white. I also wanted Anemone or whatever that amazing purple is but sadly read that it is only 40mm.
That's not crazy at all. Hermes S3 and earlier is totally crazy - only one face. S4 gets you all the fruit face-wise, but without the AOD of the S5/S6 you don't get to see them as much as they deserve. S5 is, for my money, the sweet spot between cost and features,
I don't seem to be watching the Hermes thread anymore. I don't recall consciously deciding not to, but it isn't in the watched threads list for me now, and that's all I tend to look at these days. I did have to laugh at your description of it however. I really like cars, but talking about them, especially expensive ones, on a non-car forum I always think carries the risk of being marked as a onanist.
I mean technically there’s still new bands I want to see and I don’t mind typing out the same advice over and over again but yeah I should hit unwatch until spring.
It’s not crazy at all, any silver SS watch opens you up to more band combinations not to mention proper classic buckle pairings. I’m not sure which band you mean...that sounds like the Della Cavalleria Allover Double Tour which is 40mm only. Unless by brown you mean the etain (tin)? Definitely the Della band to get. It’s the one I ended up with after getting dark blue epsom. And then the brique/red is 40mm only.
Yes, it looks like the etain. I guess it's a gray that has a lot of brown in it.
And, yeah, I already have berry, sunflower or marigold (I always forget which), sapphire, and electric blue classic buckles, so I definitely have those in mind.
Just one quick note on the ATT designation on the Hermes S5 that is calling your name. Apple Watch is and has been totally unlocked as long as it is paid off in ATT's database. However, if it is not, the watch is locked to ATT and only the former owner can unlock it by paying it off. My advice is to confirm that it's not on any ATT payment plan, and if it is, at least this part of the purchase can be worry free.
I wish my boyfriend were less practical. I gave him my series 3 Nike last year. If I gave him my series 6 Nike, he would be like-- why? I have an Apple Watch.

How many of you guys activate cellular anyways? I always seem to have my phone with me so it doesn’t sound very useful for me.
And I would assume if it’s Hermès there’s no way it could have been on an AT&T payment plan...as long as it’s not more than like 800-900, it’s totally sane. The typefaces and color-block faces are way more sayisfying than you would think, especially because there’s even a face with complications (albeit way less color and only one typeface) now. If it’s free of scratches, too, definitely worth splurging.
I do-- but maybe it isn't worth it anymore. I used to run, and I loved not having my phone on me. Now my terrible ankle is extra terrible. I do still like to walk the dog without my phone, but it might not be worth it. Especially now that I have some leggings with pockets.

The at&t one is 675. But I realized that one is a boring band (just brown). The one with the cool band I described is $750. Probably worth the difference to get a band I would enjoy wearing.
