Spent some time today trying to put together a layout of my current bands. Don’t know how you guys do it - I struggled so hard to find a spot to lay them all out. Anyway here is the collection right now - it’s missing four bands that are on the way - brown classic buckle, black classic buckle, OG yellow SB and coastal grey SB.

Joking aside, that’s quite a collection! I also try to only buy bands I actually like. But, sometimes a crazy good deal comes along and I can’t resist. I had 4 bands when I first started checking this thread and now stand at 12 just 8 months later. I’m trying to sell a few to get that number back down to something reasonable...

What bands do you have? 12 sounds like a nice tiny number but everyone has their own comfort levels.

I hope you love it - I think you will. It’s a very unusual band - almost iridescent with the mix of blue and orange.

Edit: I do cycle through them all too! I have resold ones I knew I wouldn’t enjoy regularly.

Haha yeah everyone has their own threshold! I try to only buy bands I really like and will wear and sell bands that aren’t seeing much use. Here’s what I have currently with my SBSS S5

Speaking of iridescent and Orange mixes. Wearing Hyper Crimson/Neptune Green today and the orange threads pop so well on this Loop. In different lighting scenarios it’s like the orange comes to life. Every time I wear this one I’m reminded of how unique it is!
Also just an update I ended returning the Purple Pulse Loop, you mentioned trying different faces to make it pop. Did all that and that Loop still didn’t do it for me. Oh well they’re not all meant to be part of your personal collection unless you’re a completionist.

Love that hyper crimson. And yes I agree it’s better to return the bands you don’t love and save the money for something you like better.

Thanks! Yeah since I am a bit more picky, I don’t feel as bad about spending on some of the more expensive bands out there. The woven nylons are quite nice. Not quite as soft as the sport loops but just as breathable and look much more like a traditional watch band. Great for summer months (especially in a place like Texas)!

All the fall20 “Eckhart” sport loops (blasted the tint to get that kumquat looking accurate to irl but it’s more red and rich still irl)

In making my theme party page photos just now, I realized for many people it will raise the question: why do you have/hold onto bands that don’t match?
Which kind of limits the fun to us multiwatch ultrathusiasts or someone who just changed to a blue or red aluminum and just like to watch eyes burn...

Prototype leather loops came in! Good start for the cursed bands page.
They have serial numbers engraved on the edges, along with a sort of barcode. It’s hard to make out, but the top one actually has the “Assembled in China” text under the engraved S/N.
The most interesting attribute to the black one is the texture. It’s weird, and hard to describe. It’s sort of a mix of leather loop and fluoroelastomer. It’s stiffer than the Midnight Blue prototype, which has the same texture as the released ones. Weirdly enough, Charger deleted the listing for this one. I wonder if it sold out, or if he took it down for some other reason.
They still have the stamps on them, though.
I also noticed the black one has some glue ooze out around the lugs, which I assume is because of the difference in material.
Also, I’m glad they didn’t finalize with the black one’s material. It’s pretty stiff, and would need to be broken in before you could wear it comfortably. The material doesn’t form as tight of a loop where it has to go through the top piece, and sort of digs in to your skin.
And if anyone’s wondering, they smell like a leather jacket, so I’m assuming these protos do use real leather.
