Would you mind counting Brazil retail price (~100$), Western Union fees, charge of Brazil guy who got them, shipping to EU and customs fees, and then kindly stop counting my money? I barely covered the amount I paid to get them from Brazil in 2016. Probably I did 10-20$ on top. Is that your business, after all? I don’t think so.

And no, I won’t send you any band box for free, I won’t open rarest bands on camera for your pleasure and won’t sell you Olympic band for 49$.
I am so glad to know, I am not alone on this subject. I hate the "poor me" attitude. People owe me. I can dish it out but can't take it.

Agreed. Just some bit of hypocrisy in saying you’re against reselling and raising prices when you yourself resell and raise prices...
Feel the difference between “spent a month of hard effort to get a unique items, put 25$ on top when sold unnecessary ones 4 years later” and “hey you sell me this cool thing for 5$ - I will sell it behind your back for 125$”.

And a warning to forum members - watermark your photos, especially of rare items. Some guys are using your photos in their “deals”.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with selling rare bands for more than retail.. Supply and demand
This is too simplistic. If you are a collector and at some point in time you decide to sell some of your - by then rare - pieces because you don‘t want/need/like them anymore, I agree it‘s fair game to sell them for their current market value. But when you see that a distributor has, say, 3 pieces of old stock of a sought-after Apple Watch sport band for a good price, you have two choices. When you buy one of them and are happy for yourself and the other two lucky guys who are gonne pick one up as well, you‘re a collector. When you buy all three and flip two (or all three) of them on ebay, you‘re a scalper. I thought this was a thread for collectors.

If you have a chance to buy, then sell for profit to increase your own collection. GO FOR IT

It’s interesting how this debate comes up every dozen pages or so...

I think there is always a bit of everything from all of us. I have paid what the market will bear and I have charged what the market will bear... but at the same time, I have received rare bands for free from other forum members and I have passed on this good karma by sending free bands to others on here too.

This is a community of collectors and sometimes it’s nice to support others when we know they’re desperate for a particular band, be it proxy purchasing on another continent, picking up multiples of a good deal to pass on at cost, or just a plain old good-will gift.

But at the same time, collecting anything is an expensive game and sometimes the only way to get into that game is to trade for a profit on the side.

What really annoys me are people like one of the big UK eBay resellers - he flips old bands for massive mark-ups but doesn’t actually collect them himself!

In an effort to bring things back to normal around here..

Just a few quick snaps taken outside, with a remix of the Juan&Only style. Shot outdoor, atop of a steel table instead of a wood railing, with snowflakes instead of ants (and ash?)..

Cape Cod, Obsidian Mist, Spruce Fog

Got the „genuine braided solo loops“ from the guy who even appeared here like 50 pages ago... 2 months waiting to get a DISGUSTING quality product... I knew it won‘t be original, but it is soooo bad :-/ compared to original - look at connectors out of badly-polished... aluminum (I hope)? Both bands have same size - 7

At least the lugs probably go to the end of the watch case!

Join me down here in the trenches of retail therapy. There’s very few bands I don’t have a shoe or shirt for, no regrets. But I do actually wear them and the bright colors are useful for dog walk safety.
I think if I went that far down the rabbit hole, my girlfriend would likely kill me. But I may or may not have just pulled the trigger on those shoes... what she doesn't know won't hurt her...

Emphasize the discount from full retail!

Here is the fit from last night with Olive Flak sport loop. I have cargo khaki shorts but even I know some limits.

On the other hand, it cost, what, $12, not $100. And the official Apple red braided solo loop, if ordered today, would arrive mid-January at the fastest, so the 2 month wait isn't that much longer than the "official" wait. At least it isn't stamped silicon! Is it Apple quality? No. But not so bad for 1/8 the price.

I paid above retail for my ultraviolet Band, I would expect anybody else to pay what I paid if I resell it

That’s fine! I’m mostly talking about people who buy low stock bands and resell them at a higher cost. Buying an already expensive band then expecting to get your money back on reselling it isn’t what I mean.
