TBD. I’ll fill you guys in with what I think! Currently, my budget has room for only one watch. So my decision will be a tough one, I’m sure. I dress fashionably plain, but my wild nature comes out in other ways. I doubt I’ll have a hard time wearing a ceramic as main, but, it’s the gold SS for me that does such a good job of sitting right in “blending in” and “standing out” that really has me in a hold.
If you're only going to own one watch, then White Ceramic is not the best option. It's gorgeous, but not very versatile. I'd recommend natural Ti (or Al if you're on a budget). Gray goes with just about every watch band color, so you can dress it up as you like. I cycle between four watches: S6 Nike Gray Al, S6 Graphite SS, S6 Natural Ti, and S5 White Ceramic (I have a sickness...)

I hear you on the budget. I wanted ceramic enough to jump and let Visa take the strain while I figure out how it's actually funded, but I think I have now got that covered thanks to confirmation a pay rise will be backdated to mid December.
That’s about where I’m at now, although I can’t work to cover my spontaneous decisions. Part I can cover, card took the rollover. Depending on how I like it, I decide. Though it’s odd, I’m wouldn’t buy an ordinary $600 watch, yet here I am doing it, twice? Granted i paid less for my SS, I grab deals only, but still.

And today, in solidarity with Ceramicmania sweeping the thread, midnight blue LeLoo on shiny white.

For braided loops, do we think that a 40mm 4, and a 44mm 4 would be about the same length? Or is the 40mm shorter, and 40mm 5 = 44mm 4?

I have no knowledge, only supposition, but having said that when someone published sizing based on Sport Band holes I think the sizes were the same across widths. The Watch body of a 44mm is slightly taller than a 40mm, but that might be allowed for in the band sizes.

This soft looks a bit gray
Indeed. Here's a pic of mine, which was admittedly heavily used in the past, before I started buying more bands. I put it between Fog on the left and Seafoam on the right which are the closest I have for comparison.

Photo was taken in RAW in (cloudy) daylight with my 12 Pro and did only minimal adjustments to fit what my eyes see.

I suppose a well-worn soft white will look as if having a gray film....

Same lengths, I think it would be chaos for the sizes to be different across case sizes. Maybe the 44mm are a hair’s breadth longer.

Turns out that I love Plum so much that I’ve bought the Solo Loop to save wear on my Sport Band.

Amazing how quickly they stretch though. Here it is looking about 3mm shorter than my only other Solo Loop, which I’ve worn no more than twice...

Those colours are quite a satisfying pairing...
Agree and agree and agree!
I received my Plum order today. Haven't opened the box yet, I want to use it with my upcoming SS 🤩

Plum is the first band that I ever considered getting a spare of. Haven‘t done it so far, though.

Some of my Solo Loops I have certainly worn >10 times and they fit like they did on the first day. OTOH, I use my own method of putting them on/off ...

I’ll have to look at them better. Perhaps this soft white is not soft after all.

Germany still does have 40mm Plum Sport Bands!
I think there may have been a big world-wide restock.

I’m actually returning one that arrived this morning, as it was bought for someone across the pond, who had them turn up in their own online store a couple of days later!

There will be at least one more in stock in the UK next week!

Nice comparison shot of two generations of Apple Watch Edition.

The Titanium is very subtle, low-key and lightweight (and cheaper). And Ceramic meanwhile is in-your-face-different and a little heavier (and more expensive)!
