Pine Green is certainly one of those colors with a lot of light shift. Some lights it’s close to cactus, others it’s near Cyprus. I love it. I was so excited for Cyprus and when I got it it was sorta a let down. It’s just really really dark green. So happy I talked myself into buying Pine Green later even though in the renders it looked almost identical.
We also haven’t seen any real pictures of Mallard Green yet. Apple’s hero renders put it in the Dark Teal/Pacific Green neighborhood to my eyes. But those renders are notoriously inaccurate. Also the hero image of the iPad case looks more like the Forest Green leather loop from a few years ago. I’ll be very interested to see what the sport band ends up looking like in reality.
Yeah there’s no way to know about Mallard until we shine some light through it, but my guess it’s gonna be like the deep navy/cyprus sport bands (not the solo loops), very dry and matte and reflective where dark teal is absorbent and watery. I would say pacific green is half-watery. Need to wear it more.

I would be willing to bet they didn’t want people to start getting them until they could get them in store. I’m sure Apple had some supply of AirTags and purple iPhone 12s state-side before preorders even opened. You know how Apple is. 😂

I got the Moderna FreedomJab™, so I'll be considered 'fully vaccinated' the day after you but full efficacy takes 45 days according to the trials so I'm waiting until June 5th.
Was thinking the same. The lineup is completely in disarray between the sport bands solo loop, iPhone cases , iPad cases. ZERO consistency. On a side note I wish apple would end the stupid Hermès relationship so we can start getting some proper orange colors instead of all these pastels. Electric orange looks decent but it’s only on the woven solo loop and the iPad Pro .....stupid.
I was team two-weeks-after-jab2 but then everyone was telling me two-weeks-after-jab1. But I’m just doing stuff with other vaccinated people And I’ll wait for full sports stadiums before I spend time/money there.

You have an iPhone 12 Pro Max or maybe just regular Pro? New shutter speed makes it faster than the refresh rate. I try to snap my photos between the cycles but most times I just let it rock.

If you squint, the lineup is kinda giving Fall/Winter 2018 (Smokey mauve, celestial teal, olive flak) collapsed into the two subdued bands.
This looks more realistic - I have all except Pacific Green and can confirm the looks (pine green is a tad darker than on that photo unless it's direct sunlight)
