Friday morning question for this fine group. I semi-recently picked up a pollen woven nylon from one of our eBay friends. Great band and I like using pollen faces with it.

Wondering if anyone here has been able to discover what the other 2 colours (blue and green) in the band might be.

Thanks all!

Okay. I’m definitely a BIG fan of the new band collection. I ended up going to the store to check out in person how the bands combine with the Red watch and I ended up loving dark cherry/pine and Pink pomelo/tan more than I originally thought. I wanted also the leather sequoia green and the gray/darker gray… but I ran out of money 🙈 in the last picture, people lining up for the Apple Watch Series 7 release today in the Mexico City store

Dark Cherry Braided Solo Loop on S5 Titanium View attachment 1862559
Looks like your S5 Ti has some scratching on it…. I have the S7 Ti on the way. I was under the impression the Ti models were quite resistant to scratching. I realize the natural Ti may be more prone than the black with DLC…. but I was a bit shocked to see this none the less. Was this the result of day to day usage, or the work of a dastardly Milanese loop? I did have the S0 and S5 in SS….. they were scratch magnets imho, especially the S0 I had as the only band I used at the time was the milanese loop.

One other quick question for those who have received their Series 7 watches. With the taller 41 & 45 mm cases, do watch bands fit your wrist ever so slightly larger? Thinking the bands should fit 1mm larger as the larger case sizes should add to the over all diameter…. If so is it something even noticed? Or did apple sink the lug attachment depth .5 mm further in on the watch on both sides to alleviate it? Looking at online photos it looks to me like they may have done this but I may be seeing something that isn’t there.…

This is the result of two years of daily wear.

Interesting…… well I’m committed to the S7 Ti at this point. Guess we will see how it holds up in my type of day to day use. Have apple care on it so I guess if it gets scratched to the point my OCD can’t handle it…. It may meet with an unfortunate accident where the Watch needs replacing…. 🤷🏼‍♂️

I have the 40mm S6 and now the 41mm S7. I examined both and I believe they did do some lug angle adjustment to compensate for the taller dimension. The S7 lug holes seem to ever so slightly angle towards your wrist more, when viewed from the front (face on). I’ll see if I can get some pictures.

So I dug out my 38mm SS S0 and compared to the 40mm Al S6 and the 41mm Al S7.

I don’t know how much glass thickness differences play in this (I think S7 has a thicker glass? Not sure about S0 vs S6. To me they all looked about the same in terms of glass thickness) and I couldn’t flip them upside down as they wouldn’t stay perfectly level. It appears they’ve been adjusting the lug attachment angle slightly from S0 (including S1 to S3) to S6 (including S4 and S5) and now S7. I tried to get these shots as symmetrical as possible.

I then tried my 40mm braided solo loop (best to gauge tightness differences) on the S6 and S7. It was ever so slightly tighter on the S7. But the difference is so small I reckon I won’t notice it after a week. I’m now curious to see if a 41mm braided solo loop is the exact same length compared to a 40mm one at the same size.

Even if that wasn't the goal, thanks for the good comparison of the case colors.

A care package from 🌴

Unity Sport Band: spare red “tongue” piece; the other half is with the sender. This is paired with my S0’s original black sport band, a little MKB flavour / raptors theme / my favorite color and tone / just great overall! Note: I also have my own retail Unity, and it’s great! But now I’ve got a pairing that will bring (part of) my old black sport band back into the light!

Peacock Leather Loop: pictures don’t do the color justice. That’s all I need to say about this beauty. Had I known, I wouldn’t have waited.

Capri Sport Band: closest to royal more than surf, IMO — but all 3 are very special in their room own ways, and very much worth hanging onto!

White Leather Loop: first of all, this is the biggest flex of the sender’s hunting skills. Just look at its condition!

Rallye: SBSS owner since day 1.. so this was destiny. And they helped to make it a much more affordable fate! It’s not as “biker-gang” or “race-car driver” as I expected 😂

Remote: they traded up for the new Siri remote to free up this one, while one of our original siri remotes swelled up. Meant to be!

All in all… Such a magical array of goodies.. even Canada Post’s snails couldn’t dampen the party mood!
