Is someone able to direct me to a comparison between Cocoa and Midnight? I currently wear Cocoa with a stainless steel watch. I'm thinking of getting the Midnight aluminum S7 but am stumped on the band!

If you hadn’t specified I would have assumed it was the same band in both pics. Are The golden brown and Poppy that close?
Saddle and Poppy are barely visible in the background. Golden on both pics, but yes it’s much closer to Poppy than Saddle.

I have gold SS series 4 and silver SS series 7. 44/45 because I have trouble reading small print.

Oh—for preference—I think if I didn’t have a big band collection I would prefer gold. But I do have a huge collection and there is lots of stuff that doesn’t look good on gold. Everything looks good on silver.

Do you have a pic of your SS7 on your wrist? I’m tempted to try the 45 next year.

Lol. I didn’t even notice the band in the background in the original pic…. perhaps my wife is correct…. maybe I am captain oblivious! Lol
As for this pic, yep…. they are closer than I originally thought.

Sooo finally! I know I'm late to the party (literally a whole year late) but I finally, finally found my first braided solo loop ever from a girl who had purchased to wrong size. I've been waiting for this moment since last year but I have a very small wrist and size (size 2, turns out) so it took a while but I finally have my Braided Loop for half the retail price (and that was the goal, in your face Apple!).
I love it on the wrist, I just can't tell if it is the Atlantic Blue or the Abyss Blue. What do you guys think? Depending on the light it can be both. It's already dark here so I can't take a shot in the sunlight until tomorrow.

As it‘s 40 mm, it must be Atlantic. The newer ones are 41.

I just received the Dark Cherry Braided loop from Apple today. I wish I would have picked up the Inverness Green braided Loop last year…… because of the precise sizing it is proving very difficult now find it in my size…. Size 5 to be exact. Lesson learned….. if I like a braided loop these days I’m going to make sure I nab it before they disappear.
Nice work finding the size you needed though!

About that, I was wondering: I have a 40 mm Atlantic Blue on a 40 mm Series 5, so the fit is great. What would have happened if I had purchased the same size, but for a 41 mm solo loop, to go with a 40 mm watch? Do they fit the same or the slight difference in length of the watch itself make the whole fit 1-2 mm larger/smaller?
I think at this stage even a couple of mm of length difference makes a noticeable difference about how a given size feel on the wrist.

I was wondering this myself a while back. It appears Apple actually angled the lug connectors on the watch to make up for the 1mm size increase so the bands fit the same. If you sneak back to page 950, @ivantheipodder posted some great comparison pics of how apple has adjusted the lug connector angles of the series 7 and previous generation watches.

Does anyone have a suggestion for white/ceramic lugs on the classic buckles? I’ve looked for manufactured ones but can’t find any. Has anyone dared try to paint up some third party ones with automotive paint or something?

It's bold enough. But not strong like a true Hermes orange.

If you wear Marigold, ppl will recognize immediately that you're wearing an orange watch band. The intensity of the color is purely your preference. Marigold is Hermes orange diluted down with a little bit of milk. It's like a pumpkin spice drink. It will be more neutral and easier to go with most outfits. Do try.

Here is Marigold against the famous Hermes orange.View attachment 1916329
Bought the marigold sport band yesterday. Just tried with the SBTi. Looks perfect.

Chalk? I really wanted to like this band but ended up returning it. Something about the surface coating seems different to that on the other leather link bands.
Stone leather loop 42mm (if they rev’d it for 44). I was lucky to get a reasonably priced White leather loop recently and will post it on Starlight soon after a few more Nike and Solo Loop rounds.

White LeLoo and Chalk LeLi are similarly warm.

My apologies. Mixed up leather loop and leather link. I had the Chalk leather link and had to return it as I think the surface coating wouldn't last; it seemed different to the other leather links I have (Dark Cherry, Sequoia Green).

It will certainly be the perfect sample for seeing just how much the new greasy fit and finish helps durability.

You’re also highlighting the need for an earthy light leather link to welcome the dawn of the Starlight age.

I wish they hadn’t discontinues the Leather Loop….. it was my favourite band style. I do have a couple Leather Links but I find they loosen up to easily. I live in the great white north, constant on/off with winter coats wreakes havoc on the link to the point I’ve had them pop off my wrist…. That and constantly tightening them for the same reasons. Milanese loop has the same issue. Not sure if the Leather Loop has stronger ”magonuts” (lol)… or if the fold over style gives it more resistance from loosening off??
