Totally underwhelmed by the lack of upgrades and the disgusting colour of the new 13 pro what happened to innovation with Apple everything is boring no fast charging six times zoom Wow Same old 12 megapixel cameras I would swap to a different brand if it wasn’t for the software and the ecosystem I got a $300 real me android has 64watt of fast charging Apple sticks with its own 20watt wahoo. Okay so they got a faster chipped in other phones on the market so they say but it’s taken them all these years to get 120 Hz refresh rate useless it took them a whole year to work out about five different upgrades they should be ashamed of themselves with what they’ve released not saying it’s the best phone ever. Steve Jobs would roll over in his grave he saw what came out this year.
Well there you go that’s my opinion anyway and just a really poor effort on Apple’s part and have you seen the price of their accessories here in Australia AU$95 for a leather case you’ve gotta be kidding me right but at least I’ve got some decent colours better than the pro colours that they already had from last year.
AI is supposed to take care of that. What you should be yearning for is an iPhone keyboard with working punctuation.
I was thinking for .5 seconds about getting the iPad mini and using it as my phone.Meh. Mediocre every-other-year refresh. Was expecting that on the iPhone. Disappointed by the watch. iPad mini is cool though
Well reasoned. My wife and I are probably going to keep our iPhone Pro X max one more year, it works fine. But we do like the shiny toys!!One thing people seem to forget is that in mature product lines, especially extremely popular ones like the iPhone, refinement is better for sales than radical changes. People expect consistency and year over year improvements as they weigh whether or not they will jump in and upgrade. The kinds of changes this forum is advocating would drive customers away in masses. It took my wife 3 generations stop resisting upgrades and come to terms with not having touch-id. Now that she has face-id she loves it, but it took time to realize that it wasn't a novelty and prove it could be useful. But here I am talking about face-id nearly 4 years after its introduction because that is how long it took her to upgrade. The iPhone 12 Pro she just bought is an impressive upgrade over the iPhone 8 she had. And that is the experience for most customers. The question is not how good is this phone over last year's model, but how good is it over a model released 3 or 4 years ago. That is the experience for most people. If you have too many radical changes then there is no continuity and there is great resistance to upgrading or they will seek a familiar experience with another phone maker. Likewise, if there are too few changes, there is no benefit to giving up the older model.
You and I are in the same boat. iPhone X still works great. I probably won't upgrade but maybe after the reviews come out...?I'm still rocking an iPhone X and still not ready to upgrade. I used to upgrade every year and if there were ever a time when it feels like 'next year is probably the year' it's this one. I'm completely fine with my current phone other than the battery health being at 77% so getting that replaced this weekend and guessing I'll see some immediate improvement there. It really seems like the only improvement I would even care about vs. the X is the camera. 5G isn't a draw to me currently. Screen upgrades and processor speed increases are likely nice to haves that won't really impact my day to day. Am I missing anything?
