WOW, look how long and extensive that iPadOS (iOS) summary is.

Definitely met many actual computer and power users of iPads expectations and exceeded them.

\S
*just incase some mistake this for actual Apple fanboyism that excuse and fawn over limitations.

Not surprised. No MacBook Pro announcements until fall with a M2 chip. When released, it will be a killer. Or it could be later in 2022. No big problem, except for those needing a major upgrade. Wait to the fall.
Yeah, instead of “wait for WWDC”
it will be
“wait for fall 2021,2022, 2023...”

I liked the event, and thanks for the summary. It was good to see focus on the features (even though I don't cared about some), the developers and the relationship. There has been so much bad press the last year so I think developers appreciate the focus ... and also glad there was no HW announced, that would have been a distraction ...
Are you serious or simply forgot an “\S”?

Glad to see I'm not the only one that though MEH... Craig F could dress up a glass or water with his hyperbole... They all have a gift at that... Just fix some of it! Apple Music on MAC is ATROCIOUS!!!! News on Mac is ATROCIOUS!!!! Home on Mac is ATROCIOUS!!!! It goes on... You get the idea.

Depending primarily on older Apple technologies like AppleScript, major updates are not something I jump at the chance of applying. Sharing the mouse is nice between computers is a welcome improvement. I can't think of anything else I would use at work though. A faster computer would be more useful.

My silly satisfaction at seeing Prosser being proven wrong.....again.....where even he tweeted that his track record at WWDC is a ZERO.....I agree that it was a lackluster event. None of these features warrants a new release IMHO. On the other hand, I'll take refinements without bugs over showy new features with bugs any day.

Very roughly, it means "sucks". Example, you could say a movie is naff if you thought it sucked. Or, if you thought a teacher wasn't a very good teacher you might say they were a naff teacher. It's British slang.

I think 'naff' is more equivalent to 'meh' -- naff things are not actively bad (they don't 'suck'), they're just not very good, they're unfashionable, they're tacky etc.

E.g. Coronavirus sucks, but it isn't naff.

Padded out cringe fest! Felt more like a I’ll have a go staff party than a keynote! Don’t need 40 odd people explaining things with onscreen naff eyecandy to pad it all out.

think they spent more time introducing names of staff members than on actual product.
very disappointing…

Wait, what happened to Tim??

I think this is my last year watching WWDC, no, I am not disappointed with anything. It’s just that I could do a lot with that nearly 2 hrs and just get the high lights from the Verge or Macrumors and skim through most of what interest me on the website.

Personally, I think Apple went over the top on the intro gimmicks. Next year they need to seriously consider return to in person, even if it’s a smaller setup.

What's more important than new Mac hardware? Apparently iCloud+, Apple Watch faces, and iPad widgets.
I’ve grown accustomed to lame apple announcements as of late but the Apple Watch faces announcement made me laugh out loud. Like, on what planet does the ‘ability to put a portrait picture as your watch face’ deserve a spot in a keynote?

Is it just me or did nearly everyone have newly capped teeth? Is it a requirement to be on a keynote? :D

Did you notice that some of the macOS 12 features are only available on the M1 Macs. They’re already starting to drop Intel support in the macOS.

To those of you who actually watched OR listened to the Keynote, did Apple announce anything that will move the Enthusiasm Needle ?

If they did, I missed it.

How the hell did they go a whole year with NO new innovation (to announce) ?

They don't deserve a $2.13T USD valuation !

The 2021 WWDC was a disappointment! Nothing new IMO! Got an offer from Dell for notebook. Maybe jump on it now! Apple should of release their 2021 MacBook Pro!

Features, features, features! Tons of new stuff that you’ll have to remember how to use, or figure out how to to turn off, or never use. Do I really need another hidden gesture, this one to swipe up the notes tool? Did anyone ask for that? FaceTime with share music feature... Mom, just swipe the screen, tap the icon, allow this app to access your Music app, and tap through the multiple verification steps, and we can have Muzak. It’s easy.

The company that is supposed to make things simple, sure keeps getting more complicated.

I guess I am the only one who watched it without being so hyped for new computers that I could say, “yeah, I’d really like to have that feature.”

Would I like M2 Macs and the 14/16 laptops? Sure.

Does Android have that feature already? Maybe, but I don’t use android on my iPhone. When is android going to offer a privacy feature that doesn’t require turning the device off and throwing it down the Kola Hole? Making privacy easier instead of harder sounds good to me https://www.engadget.com/google-android-privacy-settings-antitrust-lawsuit-211529407.html.

We just going to ignore the fact that every year Apple gets up there and essentially acts as if they're basking in the love and glory of the developer community, when in fact that is far from the truth? Thanks to the Epic trial we know for a fact that Apple views us developers with absolute contempt. They just see us as a bunch of leeches out for our free meal at their expense. The developer community is super pissed right now, and Apple did absolutely NOTHING to try and repair that damage.
