Of all the things that could be handy regarding an Apple Watch on the 3D Touch menu... pairing a new watch, is something most people only will be doing every other year. Why have THAT as a shortcut? Why not 'Change watch face', or 'Ping Watch'... or 'Open Notifications Settings'

That's just off the top of my head as some things that would be WAY more useful as a shortcut.

Name one good reason why that software implementation should be withheld from all devices running iOS 13?

It's probably MORE work for them to fragment the functionality.

The camera app has already been fragmented; the way you take a burst is now different on the iPhone 11 series vs. previous models. I'm not sure why they did this, but it's no surprise that additional changes would only be for the 11 series now that the code has been split.

Well, praise Jesus! They finally updated so that you can delete a calendar invite from the calendar app!! Since iOS 13’s inception, I’ve had to go to the website or a device on iOS 12 to delete or edit a calendar invite on my calendar. Thank you Apple for getting my bug report finally!!

Damn right! ..

Hopefully is just a "beta" thing and the final 13.2 version would allow feature for every iOS 13.2 device.

Hopefully.

..what?

@jclo Hey Juli can we get some clarification? Is this opt-in (as it should be & seems to be) or opt-out as you have it in the article?
- Siri Privacy Splash Screen - When you first install iOS 13.2, there's a new splash screen that lets you opt out of sharing Siri and Dictation audio recordings with Apple.
The splash screen offers a two-button choice at the bottom.
1. Share Audio Recordings
2. Not Now

That implies opt-in... which is the right way to do it. Are you saying that users are opted in by default? Cuz that's what opt-out means, and that's what it seems like you're saying.

I've been waiting 84 years to be able to change recording settings within the camera app. What am I going to complain about now?

We can complain that we can no longer sort by most upvoted in MacRumors...unless I am missing something.

I was about to ask about this missing feature as well! It existed in ios12 and removed in ios13.

maple finally fixed the photos in iMessage in iOS 12 so you could see all of them but this is a HUGE step back. It’s also annoying that when you select a photo and save it the photos will close and you’ll be back in the conversation.

I love that they brought back the Recording options as a new feature here. They used to have it like that in previous versions of iOS (don’t remember which, maybe pre-8?). It actually pissed me off when they first moved the settings for slo-mo to the Settings app.

I am mega excited for the new AirPods - super easy to turn noise cancellation on and off.

Hopefully you can assign it to a tap gesture too.

Carplay font is now smaller and features even more of title/artist/album. Album art is smaller as well. Screenshot is from SiriusXM app.

Does this beta resolve text message reminders? I have reminders set to 2 minutes but it never comes up.

I'm not an AAPL hater (in fact, I use their tech exclusively because "it just works" and my company is focused on providing software in this segment), but I'm hardly a fan boy, either.

It fascinates me what counts as a "feature" or "significant change" these days: Adding a delete button to the convenience menu is now a notable feature? Oy.

These aren't 'features' or 'significant changes,' as you say. These are just UI tweaks to add to what's already there. Every little thing counts somewhere

Fixed a couple of problems for me from b1. Reading exchange email now synchs the status with the server. Plugging in the phone in silent mode now causes phone to vibrate. Both features were broken for me in the previous beta.

Apple Maps is in dark mode.... but driving directions are not, is there a setting for this?

All things considered, these are some of the most monumental additions and tweaks one could ever expect from a .1 update, at least when it comes to Apple
Normally I'm not one to bash feature parity between iOS and Android but being able to delete from the home screen is just NOW coming to iOS? It was so natural and obvious on Android I had just assumed iOS had something like that. I'm not saying iOS is lagging everywhere, it has it's own features I wish would come to Android and I balk at how they havent implemented something so simple, but why the hell did it take this long to implement this? It's not like it was a huge change in the OS and the code probably could have been implemented in a few days...

You could delete from the home screen before. The process is slightly different but just as many taps. Before the haptic touch shortcut, the process for deleting an app was Long press, Icons jiggle -> Tap x to delete.

Now its Haptic Touch Long Press, Shortcut menu appears -> Tap delete menu item.

How about fixing it so our Korg Bluetooth midi controllers work again apple :( Off to figure out the whole IPSW and blobs thing so I can get my beloved IOS 12.3.1 back. If anyone here is good with that stuff I’d be willing to pay someone for some one on one tutoring to get me back on 12.3.1 .. that thing purred like a kitten with all my music production apps and hardware.
