It just removes a step when contacting people. I guess you can argue they should make it optional and let you customize it, but I think the majority of people will find it useful.
Yeah, especially those “super extrovert not-so-cute Asian girls” around Sydney CBD I can often see. They are gonna more than likely to share their photos through an app that is not iMessages. /s

To that option, I also hope we can turn that row off somehow. This is not that hard to do at all.

Just installed on 10.5" ipad pro from 2017, getting random reboots and 3G/4G is flaky. Avoid this one if stability on that device is important.

Back in iOS 12, I was wondering why Apple did not include an option to arrange icons from context menu when they remove 3D Touch? Now, they FINALLY include such option through the context menu, and NO MORE different timings for context menu. YAY! Can they imagine how easy it is to trigger wiggle mode without seeing the context menu? Glad they god rid of wiggle mode from long press actions.

Mine got pretty stable 4G perceptions. Guess this is a usual “mixed bag” update.

I wish I could somehow rearrange the „Favorites“-apps in the share sheet. It sucks to scroll to WhatsApp every time while Messages, Reminders, Notes and PS4-app are higher -____-

I don’t think I’ll be updating to iOS 13. Throughout the OS it just seems like messy/pointless design changes.

Ex. The new 3D Touch home screen icon platter. Looks so much worse than current.

Very unlikely you’re going to “kill” your iPhone. The betas have been pretty good, but there are some occasional glitches. Not a showstopper for me in the least, but some people have lower tolerances for glitches.
Good to hear that. Some Apple Store Geek told me last week that it was terrible.
Please let me know how this new beta works for you. It's time to upgrade or I will not be able to get anything deployed on time.
I will also need to upgrade my Apple Watch 3 LTE.

Can't wait for it to launch. I'm ready to send all those unknown numbers to VM!

That is an awesome feature! Combined that with the FCC finally got off their bureaucratic backsides and allowed the providers to screen these scofflaws, maybe robocalls. are finally done!

Not sure if this is a bug but if you 3D Touch an icon on the home screen you can immediately drag and move an icon without having to press rearrange icons or holding down for the wiggling icons.

3D Touch > immediately drag icon

It's for my main and only iPhone. I don't have a good spare to use as test device.

What part of "its been stable enough since Beta 2" are you questioning?
[doublepost=1563399035][/doublepost]
Been using iOS 13 since Beta 1 on my main phone with very few issues. iOS Beta 3, I actually experienced the most issues with many unexpected crashes and restarts.

Really? I wonder what your specifics are? I have had no crashes and no restarts 0, noddah! In fact the only issue I had was Wells Fargo couldn't handle FaceID, but everyone else including a tiny little Hawaiian Bank used it just fine. That was fixed BTW

what about managing diverting calls from contacts? this would be a simple and powerful enhancement.

its called "Block"

Either you haven't experienced it yet (cause it is awesome!), or you are a real retro guy. I hear most users of Android never update, so not everyone wants to

You know you can go to "Manage" and drag the order around?

This has been like that since beta 3. Not sure why.

I really hate the share sheet
I'm not a fan either. I often use other actions that just sending to contacts. For instance in Safari, the #1 thing I do is search a page. First time i used ios13 beta it was like 20 items below, including all my shortcuts. Even now I still have to scroll down to find it when last time I would tap share then have four action items to quickly tap.

Apple this morning released the fourth beta of iOS 13 for developers, introducing bug fixes and adding and refining iOS 13 features.

Now that we're into the fourth beta, changes and updates are getting more minor, but there are still some small but notable tweaks that are worth highlighting in today's beta.

- Quick Actions - There's a refreshed look for Quick Actions on the Home screen, which adds a new "Rearrange Apps" option that lets you quickly get to the wiggle mode that allows apps to be moved around.

- Quick Actions Menu Size - The menu that pops up when using a Quick Action is also smaller in size with less obtrusive icons that have also been relocated to the right side of the menu interface.

- 3D Touch Settings - In the Accessibility section of the Settings app, there are new options for 3D Touch in the 3D & Haptic Touch section (which was previously just 3D Touch). There's a new "Touch Duration" section alongside the sensitivity slider. The Touch Duration option changes the amount of time it takes to reveal content previews, actions, and contextual menus.

- Share Sheet - Some minor design changes have been made to the Share Sheet in iOS 13, tweaking the colors and adding some transparency.

- Voice Messages - When using the option in Messages to record a voice-based message, there's a new icon for the option. It's now a waveform rather than a microphone icon.

- Widgets - When editing Widgets in the Today View, you'll see a new look for the edit button, which is now pill-shaped rather than circular.

Very disappointed in the lack of updates for Public Beta users

Just because it’s your main and only phone, I’d say no. OR be prepared to be possibly without your phone for a few hours or a day (if you have to restore from backup). It’s true that it’s been stable for many BUT part of the reason for the beta is to try it out with use cases they’re really not aware of. It’s possible that, due to the configuration of YOUR particular phone, the upgrade could fail.

Just be aware of that and at least you won’t be kicking yourself. You’re going in eyes wide open! Look at it this way, when I see a crippling issue that no one has reported, I’m excited about providing feedback! If that kind of situation is bound to annoy rather than delight, it may not be worth it to you.

@MacRumors Touch duration is new for 3D Touch devices but was there on the iPhone XR on iOS 12

haptic touch functionality seems to be all but confirmed now. It may be more responsive on 3D Touch devices, but I haven’t noticed that difference yet on XR vs 6s on iOS 13

So is it stable enough that will not kill my iPhone 8 Plus?
It's the only device I could use as my dev test device, but I don't want to be left without a working phone.

You can roll the dice and cross your fingers and try it. But not everyone has the same experience with betas. You could have 10 people tell you it's good only to have it not work at all for you. Or you might need some vital piece of functionality that is broken that no one else tested because they don't need it. There is literally no way for anyone here to say if it will work for you, or not.

Generally speaking, when someone is asking the questions you've asked, I'd say stay away. You only have one device to test on and you want to keep that device in working order. That may not happen. I can guess that you're fairly new to betas in general (just a guess) or you probably would already have the answers to your questions. That feels risky since it seems you're jumping in without really knowing what you're doing.

With that said, they do have a "public" beta, so other people in your shoes have decided to take the risk. And you'll never learn if you don't take some risk and try it. If you do choose to go forward, please visit the iOS 13 sub-forum for advice. If it goes poorly for you, you'll want to have the right kind of backup to go back to iOS 12. If you fail to do your homework, you could find yourself stuck on the beta or going back to 12 without a backup and loosing all your data.

A beta will always be risky. Always. You have to decide if it's worth the risk for you and your particular circumstances. And you should take into account how comfortable you feel troubleshooting if things do end up going sideways. If you break it, you'll be the one responsible for fixing it. I don't believe Apple will lend assistance in these cases.

O_O!

Apple always add this small changes that nobody cares about and counts them as “over 200 fantastic and exciting new improvements” in new OS’s
