Yeah, I was also pretty disappointed that this is now an option. The whole point of Find My (from a security aspect) is to recover your device... now the lowlife can just disable it.
To follow up on another poster comment, it must be unlocked for this to happen. Cover your camera with your phone locked, then wake it up. When you try to turn it off, it shows that the find my will still be activated with an arrow for you to disable. When you attempt to disable it, it requires the passcode.

I keep looking but I’m yet to see anything that dissuades me from the opinion that this years Safari design is an absolute calamity. Beside the fact that it just horrible to use with the ‘wackamole’ url bar, it breaks SO many sites with fixed footers and suffers horribly as it mangles the view port size as the URL bar comes in and out. It’s an absolute horror show!!!
It really is a huge pain. I was sure we'd see some big changes for Safari on this beta, turns out that's not the case.

c") Oh no. Weather App Icon has a slightly more grey cloud, with more chance for rain.

Oh, man - and I have to take the bus to town tommorow, without an umbrella.

Can somebody confirm if the app grid layout on iPadOS has returned to its former glory of 6 columns rather than 4 in portrait mode? (With no widgets)

I was so happy that I could finally track my iPhone after it was turned off if stolen. But this new ‘temporarily turn off finding’ prompt, right on that screen, without having to unlock the phone first, makes the feature completely useless. SMH

Safari is starting to come together nicely, and I’ll be the first to admit I b!tched about the changes initially. Still going to be a bit of a learning curve for people when it is released, and will probably cause many to switch browsers. I just wish I could choose bookmarks instead of the page of icons to pop up when I hit the menu bar.

It's a beta - things are supposed to change. You're not using this on your main iPhone, are you?
Yes and it’s running fine, just annoyed that they removed the reload button from the address bar when it’s collapsed.

Is it me or is the placement of the reload icon in safari totally stupid?

the icon is placed to the right of the url, therefore, if the length of the url changes, the icon will always be at a different offset in the address bar such that you cannot blindly tap, say in the middle of the bar to start editing … you almost surely will end up inadvertently reloading the page rather than editing the address.

That’s incredibly poor UX.

The initial beta’s where it was just pull to reload were much more intuitive…

It doesn’t ask for passcode first? o_O

Icon changes? Seriously? What a world where people write about such trivia and, god help me, I spend a few moments reading it before realising its time I will never get back. If this is what OS updates have become we definitely need some real innovation..........

It's not just you but be prepared for a series of replies telling you that you're wrong.

When the new Safari updates were released with Beta 1 there were many people complaining about the changes only to be met with many people telling them they're wrong and they need to get used to the new design because Apple know best. I wonder what they think now that Apple have reversed or altered many decisions since then via various updates.

The design is still shoddy honestly and there are a ton of suggestions from the community about how to bring back certain familiar controls and design elements from prior Safari versions that respect muscle memory whilst integrating the new navigation controls from iOS 15. Most of those suggestions have been ignored unfortunately.

It's actually impressive how ugly they've managed to make iPadOS Safari look. It looks like something you would quickly draw in one of those online sketch tools to illustrate what a browser template looks like LOL. Unbelievable.

Safari is starting to come together nicely....
And that, my friends, is why Baskin-Robbins makes 31 flavors.
