We're just a few more tweaks from the Apple podcast/pundit sphere espousing "how much better it is now than before" and "best it's ever been!"
So…nobody is allowed to like the changes to Safari because you don’t like them? Okay got it. 👍

edit: I misinterpreted the original post, and will switch to decaf.

Safari... The browser no one will be able to use due to confusion. Click where? Tap somewhere? Scroll somewhere? Ugh. I'm old.
Yep and bookmarks still hidden away. Keep it simple Apple. Don’t understand why the have not brought bookmarks back with one click again. General Public is going to insane if Safari stays this way.

I dont understand why Apple gives you the option to disable Find My when you turn off the phone, Even better I don't understand why they don't force you to unlock the phone first before you can turn it off. This will prevent thieves from quickly grabbing a phone and turning it off so you cant track it. Samsung devices have had this since the S3.

So I updated to beta 5 earlier, was late fir an appointment and the highway was wide open so I set my cruise control to 95mph. Never saw any law enforcement and I just made it to the office on time, however, when I turned in the parking lot I saw a swat vehicle and many cops as if they were waiting for something, turns out they were waiting for me! The captain said as he was booking me that in beta 5 Apple turned on reckless driver alerts for law enforcement. Apparently it uses your GPS to determine speed and maps to determine your destination and automatically sends a emergency alert to the closest law enforcement station that there’s a speeding driver and what their destination is along with their name and vehicle info.
It’s about time Apple did something about reckless driving, I sure learned my lesson! And don’t worry, as long as you don’t speed you’ve got nothing to worry about! You’ve been warned!

That wasn't my point
They will laud whatever the changes are because it's an Apple centric business model

I think you probably knew what I meant - but if not - now you do!
Cheers

We are definitely getting closer to the release. These updates have been getting smaller. This update is 720.7 megabytes in size!

When has apple ever let you turn it off without a password? This is no different.

Everyone needs to stop jumping to conclusions.

Lossless audio and Dolby Atmos are now restored on HomePods, after being pulled for the second beta.

Can be activated by going to Home Settings in the HomeKit App, selecting primary user (owner), scrolling down to Apple Music (under media section) and toggling both features on.

I was so happy that I could finally track my iPhone after it was turned off if stolen. But this new ‘temporarily turn off finding’ prompt, right on that screen, without having to unlock the phone first, makes the feature completely useless. SMH

You should probably read the thread before commenting. If your phone is unlocked, then no it doesn’t ask for it. But if your phone is locked like 99.9% are when stolen, it does ask for it. Hand your locked phone to a friend and ask them to turn it off and disable find my iPhone. They can’t. You can also hold your phone at a weird angle where Face ID won’t pickup and try it yourself.

I agree. So much churn. It’s starting to feel like UI/UX designers are cranking out new designs for no other reason than to impress other UI/UX designers at UI/UX designer conferences.

… and the actual Users can go whistle.

Larger icons for the home screens... it's about time. I'd love to see the option to have MORE icons on the home screens, including on iOS. I sense more can fit.
Definitely.

iPadOS 15 is limited to fewer icons than 14 already due to ridiculous spacing. In landscape, using the same horizontal widgets on the left on my two iPads, one running the beta, 14 gets 30 icons, 15 gets only 16! Looks more fisher price than it ever has.

I get that it accommodates widgets staying on screen in portrait, but that’s an absolute mess as they move all over the place. Far rather the iPadOS14 solution, no widgets in portrait. At least give us the option, I rarely use portrait personally anyway.

I don’t see App Library as a solution to fewer icons either, that’s a mess too without any customisation.

I don’t want bigger icons on the iPad. I want to be able to put more icons on the iPad! Especially now that widgets take up some space, it would be nice to more densely pack the icons to fill In the vast space between icons instead.

Agreed, surprised I've not heard more grumbling about the absolutely pathetic number of icons it's currently limited to.
