I’ve been using my 13 for 5 hours straight and no migraine yet. Every time I feel the slightest weird feeling from my head I panic but I think I’m just super conscious and trying to look out for signs. This is promising.
Battery life is noticeably better than my 11.
Midnight is such a nice colour. I was worried at first because I wanted pure black but the hint of navy looks great.

The only difference between the 12 mini and 13 mini (12 and 13) display is
625 nits max brightness (typical) vs
800 nits max brightness (typical).
How do you expect a difference if the screen is the same?
At least the Pro has a new feature, therefore it may or may not feel different.

Here’s what my 13 pro screen shows in slow motion. No flicker really, just moving bars. It’s getting easier to use. Back to having hope. Now, if this works…to stay pro or go pro max.

Update… I can echo everybody’s opinion and say that it’s definitely better than the 12 series.
I do feel a little weird, but it’s hard to tell if it’s from the screen or if it’s because I only slept for 3 hours last night and I’m just tired.

Different panels. OLED TV uses WOLED, basically RGB filters on white light for each pixel. iPhone has RGB OLED (diamond layout).
I guess the software can’t do much for the 12-13 series, it’s a factor only for the 13 pro series with the option to turn off the 120 hz. A new display display controller Doesn’t necessarily mean better and it has to be confirmed yet

that seems to me (and I don't know jack) that the flicker is so fast that the 240 slomo can't pick it all up.... you just see the bars. It's like we've all been conditioned for pain that we don't trust it when there isn't any. haha. Gosh, I'm reallllly really anxious that I might be picking up the mini I wish I had last year (12) but had to return because of sharp eye pain in the back of my eyes!

I picked up my 13 Pro a few hours ago, first impressions seem good in terms of eye strain. Haven’t had a chance to use it extensively though. I got one of those Radex Lupin flicker testers, so I can provide some data on that a bit later too.

One thing I’ve seem to struggle with is the screens overall brightness. Coming from iPhone 11 peak of 625 nics to the 13 pro max 1000 is definitely an adjustment.

I’m finding the brightness slider in control centre is taking some getting used to because the brightness levels I was used to are now at different points than the 11. At first it made me feel this screen was darker than the 11 which is untrue. Did you find this too?

for me, quite clearly, all the screens that caused negative effects were confirmed by measurements of this device. The only exception was some bulbs that flickered more than 10%, but did not cause immediate negative consequences, perhaps because the gaze is not directed at the source of the flickering light itself.
I also plan to measure all models when they are freely available in stores
Iphone 13 Pro Max. Been using it for an hour or so. No real annoyances yet. Iphone 10,11,12 would irritate after a few minutes of use. So I'm hopeful 480Hz is the key.

I think the iPhone 13 Pro is a no go for me and I will have to go back to the 11. Its been causing dizziness/nausea within a couple of minutes. Tried it on two separate occasions.
