There's no way I was gonna sleep tonight without the daily notch-related rumor. Woohoo … gonna saw some logs now!
I notice it but it doesn't bother me, used to it after all these years now. But I welcome any new iPhone that doesn't have one.Am I the only one that really, at the end of the day, simply does not even notice or care about the notch area all that much?
Don’t get your hopes up. With Face ID being 2 x as accurate as Touch ID it’s not coming back soon. If it does make a comeback it’ll likely need to work with Face ID for even more security.Where are the rumors about Touch ID? I'll take it in any form, under the screen or in the power button or even in a home button. I've recently upgraded from 6s to 13 mini and the fact that FaceID doesn't work with masks is driving me crazy. It's been obvious for a long time that we'll have to deal with masks for a long time. What's Apple's answer to this? They had time to address it but didn't with iphone13. what about iphone1 4? Not doing anything about FaceID and masks will be even more inexcusable if they don't address it in iphone 14. And will the reviewers hold Apple to account if they don't? Last time around none of them did.
I don’t notice it on iPhone 13 Pro Max but on iPhone 12 Pro, yes, I noticed it all the time.Am I the only one that really, at the end of the day, simply does not even notice or care about the notch area all that much?

To be clear I am not advocating removal of Face ID. IPhone should have both Touch ID and Face ID. Not for extra security (both are plenty secure already) but as complimentary means of passwordless authentication. Or maybe they can make FaceID work with masks. If that's possible I'll take it. But one way or the other the issue of passwordless authentication being broken needs to be addressed asap.Don’t get your hopes up. With Face ID being 2 x as accurate as Touch ID it’s not coming back soon. If it does make a comeback it’ll likely need to work with Face ID for even more security.
The notch doesn't bother me,, the bezels don't bother me... If Apple had the tech available they would implement it. The notch is a non issue...Yes, all those who say they are not bothered by the Notch, or don't even see it etc... they will be the first people in line at the Apple store once a Notchless iphone is finally released.
Pills are good...PILLS ARE GOOD!Good grief, I don’t want it to be pill-shaped. Keep the notch until you figure out how to get rid of it.
Right…..that’s why the site is called Mac rumors. I mean, it’s literally 90% of what they base their news articles on. It’s not like rumors have validation just because they’re posted. You’ve been here long enough to know that.Rumors getting to be nothing more than rumors.
So you didn’t read the article then. I just can never understand why people comment like yourself, but they don’t read the article.Where did they get this info???
"the vast majority of the general public don’t care about it"Came wait! Apple heads might love the notch but the vast majority of the general public don’t, it’s so outdated and unacceptable in 2022.
Finally! USB-C. Yay!We'll have an iPhone without a notch in 2023 but will have an in-screen charging port instead.

Well... the outcry usually doesn't come form the general public but rather from people who (based on sneaky rumors) decided against buying a 13/13Pro and find themselves now, mid-cycle, confronted with the possibility that those rumors might not turn out true"the vast majority of the general public don’t care about it"
Fixed that for you
‘Industry consultant’ according to who ?? Where’s his track recordSo to help you out, the article literally states, ‘Industry consultant Ross Young’ is the one making the statements about the future iPhone changes. It’s literally in the third paragraph down in the article.
