Facebook will tell us,
go ahead and use them, snap those photos and videos and we will share them for you,
we know who they are, or if you are in a group, just mark which group and we will share for you.
NO WAY FB, this is just a ploy to have more data 🔓.

A brand like Ray Ban teaming up w/ Facebook? That’s a money grab for execs. Seems like a novelty product - moreso than any other type of wearable.

Doesn't mean im sharing it on Insta/FB. Just like when I was a kid and all the parents held their big camcorders at the soccer games or birthday parties. My family has recently converted those to DVD and its nice to have.
You didn’t have to worry that the big camcorders were secretly uploading your videos and logging your location, etc... Facebook doesn’t care about anyone’s privacy. The only reason these exist is because there’s some way they can use it for datamining. Facebook has no other function.

These sound terrible. Open speaker? That's all I need. Some dbag wearing wayfairs with their camera LED turned on with music blaring.
We already have enough of that crap now. I can’t stand people who listen to music in public without making it private and mostly silent via headphones. Use headphones or don’t do it at all.

Bought a pair... Kid on the way and looking forward to hands free captures
I hope you do not capture your wife’s interest parts cause ones they are on the net, you may not have one. PS. You may think you can edit things beforehand……

From novels like 1984 or Fahrenheit 451, we have always thought the cameras to spy us were put there by governments or private corporations. However, the irony, is that this mass surveillance is going to start on glasses of kind citizens who want to be able to record everything. Where’s my right to privacy? Where’s my right to be out of FaceBook data base?

I forecast a large, new industry developing to sell various clothing items that state “No, you do not have permission to film me. If this is placed on your social media site or any other public forum, my lawyer will be happy to talk to you.”

AKA Mark Zuckerberg's latest fetish in having photos snapped by people delivered to his mailbox for his viewing pleasure. For research. Of course.

Have you been to Earth-1218? Because it's already happened many times, including in response to people wearing glasses with cameras.
It's absolutely happened, especially with Google Glass -- because those were initially sold to developers, and the general public couldn't yet buy them. That created a lot of paranoia around them, since they weren't a product most people could really try out themselves and see what they really did and didn't do.

A private bar or club can ban whatever they like, just like some enforce arbitrary dress codes (like no tennis shoes). But eventually, I think the idea of glasses with cameras integrated will become mainstream enough that people stop treating it like a special situation. Every smartphone on the planet can do the same stuff and people always have them in hand in these establishments.
