Not working for me in messenger on iPad Pro 2 12.9". When tapping the moon it just says "seen" on the bottom right of the message.

Wow, what an innovative feature! I hope Siri is way smarter and Apple Maps etc. has way more data in iOS 13. I hope Apple fixes the layout of first-party apps to be operable with one hand. Landscape mode system wide would be great too, now that there’s the iPhone XS Max.

Yikes... using creepy facebook for anything nowadays, especially your personal conversations they can scan through via messenger:

my fix for one handed operation is to stick with my SE

Force quit after you sent the emoji. Then go back to the chat and double tap the moon. Worked for me. Cool!

Why would any app wait until iOS 13? That would be a system wide Dark Mode, but third party apps can already have their Dark Mode right? Youtube app already has it, although it looks more like a grey mode. FB messenger looks really nice but it's an app I hardly use.

As a user/consumer I agree with you. As a developer, I can only say that it is a lot of more work to do, to implement a solution that will eventually also be incompatible with the system wide dark mode in iOS 13.

Worked straight away for me. Some people it might not if the app isn’t up to date and/or it is still probably a gradual test rollout

As soon as I saw that Apple was pushing for dark mode detection in macOS Safai I had a feeling we’d see an iOS Dark Mode.

Worked for me right away. Didn’t need to close app.

It’s buggy. Some things don’t appear - like when you click on someone to chat with, and it has the “Wave” option, the ‘x’ to close out can’t be seen. Also, sometimes the vertical list of contact shows only small photos and no names to the right. But not always. Weird.

Not sure if I like the dark mode. The black does look nice on my XSMax, though.

It’s a bit of a bait title to include ios13 considering I’ve been using apps since last year I have dark mode.
