Only took years. Funny how quickly people seem to be cool with things now and forget that it took one of the best known tech companies in the world several years to get around to updating a simple little app.

Well the same public sank billions into FB before fully checking it's financials

So long overdue but it's much faster. Let's hope all of the bugs are gone now like loading comments and navigating to correct photos.

This is excellent, but they removed a couple features! You can't download photos to your phone anymore, for one.

BS. Are you kidding me? What a joke. What's the point in having a MOBILE app when you cant download photos to a MOBILE device! Mo' Fo's!!!!!!

You can save to camera roll just fine. Prior poster is incompetent.

Yeah, you can. Just click on the photo and then hold it down again, the button comes up as save photo. Right there, it saves the photo into the camera roll.

Finally it is usable in some fashion.

Hopefully it will prove to also be more stable and less buggy in general.
While the performance certainly was terrible, what usually made me want to throw my phone was running into all the bugs and crashes.

Now that they have performance fixed (and hopefully stability/bugs) maybe future releases will add better controls (privacy, accounts settings, timeline pics, etc...)

We shouldn't skirt the importance of advertising money in this release. Facebook has been having trouble generating substantial advertising revenue on the mobile platform, making a redesign more urgent. I'm curious as to how they've changed their application in order to help garner more income for the company and stockholders. :apple:

It appears you can press and hold on the photo to bring up that option. I actually like this because it is consistent if you were to do that within mobile Safari.

Only thing changed i guess is " Notification " nothing in settings now , you have to change that from "Facebook app" itself .

Somehow the ability to "Share" has STILL been overlooked.

They just can't seem to get there all the way to the field goal! What's up with that?
