I just got my white Vapor Pro and I'll post pics in a little while. The quality is actually quite good. I see no issues with the paint and the phone is snug. I can move it just a fraction but I have to push on it to make it move.

But in all honesty I'm just meh on the case and glad I didn't spend $150 or whatever the actual price is. I'd be willing to sell it if anyone is interested. As I said before I'll post pics in a little while. Have to eat dinner first :)

I have the 4S and my service and GPS are still spot on. Find my iPhone is dead accurate. WiFi also seems unaffected.

EDIT: I'm selling this if you want it. SOLD

Okay folks here you go. This is the white Vapor Pro from this seller on DHgate.com.

The overall quality of the case is quite good considering it's a copy of a much more expensive case. The phone sits in it snuggly. The white finish is decent and the packaging would fool most people I think.

Waiting to see if the knockoffs out of China will offer the new design which now includes a rocker switch over the volume buttons.
Something I wanted on an Element case.
I'm guessing this new design improves cell reception and GPS too.

Daaaang! That's pretty sick looking. I like the translucent poly side. The integrated rocker is a pretty nice touch.

Hope resellers pick these up soon, since element wants $100..

Date Ordered: 10/21/11
Date Received: 11/5/11
Which Seller: Jacky Nie
Your Location: Honolulu
Shipping Method : China Post

According to USPS, it was delivered on the 5th but I just returned from a trip and finally had a chance to put it on my phone. I ordered a blue/silver with the black insert. As expected, the insert was the shorter version since that's what was shown on the listing.

I've read many reviews saying that the case was slightly loose but I seem to have the opposite problem. My case is too tight. The plastic insert slides out of the top aluminum piece a little when all the screws are tightened. There is absolutely no movement of the phone in the case. I've tried the case with and without the padding and its still too tight.

Other issues I have with the case is the blue aluminum has several scratches on the edges where a little bit of silver is showing through. The area where the two aluminum pieces meet up is slightly misaligned so you can feel a sharp edge when you run your finger on it. The black insert is showing scratches where the special screwdriver would scrape if you're not careful. I noticed this could happen and did not use the included screwdriver but there were already scratches there, indicating that someone had already used this piece.

I've emailed Jacky to see if anything can be done about the tightness of the case.

I got my White Vapor 4 from Jackie Nie yesterday and have had it on my phone for a full day now. Unfortunately it is no longer available on the store page. Someone earlier in the thread said they were told Jackie Nie was asked to remove all Element cases by Element themselves. So hopefully they'll be back up soon but if not I have heard you can buy one by using Paypal. Here's a snapshot of the product when I ordered. Now that that's out of the way, here are some pictures (taken with another iPhone 4S).

Overall I'm pretty pleased. It fits nice and snug with no modification. There does seem to be a little bit of space around a few of the edges where the case and the phone comes together, but I have heard that even the real thing has this problem and it has not caused the phone to shift or move. The coloring on the two separate pieces is the same, unlike what I was hearing about some of the white Vapor Pro cases.

I will mention that I have seen a slight drop in reception. There is a building that I'm in twice a week for an hour at a time that when I had my iPhone 4 I would have no service, when I got my iPhone 4S I would have weak service, and with the case on I have no service again. I'm not really that worried about it but it is worth mentioning. GPS is still spot-on.

I'm with everyone else here in saying that it's a good looking case but I'm glad I didn't spend $100. I'm looking forward to getting my blue/silver Vapor Pro from Jacky Lin as I find that style case more visually appealing than the Vapor 4.

I also ordered this blue e13ctron case but I'm a moron and didn't check to make sure it works with the iPhone 4S. It doesn't work with the dropped mute switch which is a shame since the quality is very good and the fit was great too. I'd highly recommend it for anyone with an AT&T iPhone 4.

Agreed, shipping was a bit slow. Mine is actually quite snug. In order for it to move you'd have to force it and then it moves just a fraction. Hey, for $25-$27 for a copy that sells for three or four times as much I'm pretty impressed with the overall quality and packaging.

I just don't like the look of the case as much as I thought I would. Luckily though there's a few people that showed interest so I could get my money back without having to have to wait.

Yeah that one would definitely work with the way the volume/mute cutouts are. On the case I ordered, there is a bridge of metal between the top volume button and the mute switch. With the mute switch being moved down a little on the iPhone 4S compared to the iPhone 4, the bridge now goes over the very bottom part of the mute switch. It's a shame cause I really liked the way it looked and fit on my white 4S.

For those of you who ordered from aliexpress.com, how did you specify the color combination, and which shipping method did you choose?

Specify in the notes on your order. Most sellers on AliExpress are really good about communicating with you during the order process.

very intrigued by this case, thanks for posting all the photos.

i have a question for you all:

how do you think this will hold up in a drop on concrete or a floor? when i go out partying i put on my otterbox defender for obvious reasons but im sick of the bulk. im wondering if you drop this bumper face first will it protect it from the screen or back shattering? does it have a high enough lip?

thanks all!

I suspect it would survive most drops, but I would not want to test it ;) These cases, while offering some protection, still require a user to take care with their device.

Otterbox Defender is huge and bulky, but it truly is the way to go for utmost protection if you are prone to frequent high damage drops (concrete, high drops, etc).

EDIT: I use the Otterbox Defender on my iPad 1 so that I can give it to my wife and 7 year old son with confidence that it will survive them. To be fair, neither are particularly hard on devices, but I tend to baby mine, while they never do. My wife's phone looks horrible, thankfully it's an old feature phone lol.

i too baby my iphone but im always worried about "that one time" where ill be screwed. im just wondering if there is enough lip on the phone to protect it from a fall on concrete or whatever, not tall drops.

No. If it hits face side down, kiss your screen goodbye. If it hits the corners, YMMV, but the phone will probably survive. This is a looky-looky case, not a very protective one.

Isn't that what insurance is for?

Has anyone found a holster of any kind that'll work with this case? Or even a pouch? Pics would be great if you have found something that works.

might want to re-size those pics!

i have a white, and i am tempted to sand it down....the paint looks like it comes off easily.

can someone post a link of the site to track china post shipments with? i've tried searching but non of the ones i found worked.

Update on White Vapor from Smiley Yang Store:

The White one I got did not fit properly as posted previously. I was able to resell it on craigslist for more than I paid and the Smiley Yang store offered to send my a Tiger Design Blade as a free replacement. The Blade case fits perfectly and is of absolutely amazing quality. I like the Blade case better because it is a little more low profile than the Vapor. I got two colors so I could mix and match. Not to hijack this Vapor thread but here are some pics.

Is there any way to remove the plastic piece from the frame? Any help would be awesome.

Knowingly selling a faulty product at a higher price? I would be ashamed of myself. Considering you have received a free replacement, you should have given it away, or at most, asked for the postage costs.
