Periodic sales… They had it on sale when the next gen patch came out.No question, however when I got around to look at GOG, FO4 wasn't 10 bucks.

Oh no question, but since I don't pay attention to Gog, its not something I'll notice when it comesPeriodic sales… They had it on sale when the next gen patch came out.
Patience is a virtue, recently picked up Doom 2016 on GOG for less than $4...No question, however when I got around to look at GOG, FO4 wasn't 10 bucks.
There's your answer...Oh no question, but since I don't pay attention to Gog, its not something I'll notice when it comes
Hmm, milking it. Paid mods, who would of thought?Looks like there may be another update inbound for Fallout 4 - if this YTer is to be beleived
They already had some form of paid mods, i.e., creation club. I'm hopeful is that the bugs introduced with the prior update will be addressed.Hmm, milking it. Paid mods, who would of thought?
Creation Club seemed to be mostly just cosmetic stuff last I looked. They already had some form of paid mods, i.e., creation club. I'm hopeful is that the bugs introduced with the prior update will be addressed.
Totally agree with you.Hmm, milking it. Paid mods, who would of thought?I'm very happy I'm established with F4 on GoG. I don't want my free mods breaking and additionally the story is basically set. I made it about 3 minutes into the video, just can't imagine at this point what could be added to make me want to upgrade to the latest version of the game and see my existing mod bite it.
F4 is one of my 2 current comfort games, it and Cyberpunk 2077. I can go to either one and escape into an alternate reality of my own mental making. I an also imagine a future where these environments make it into non cumbersome VR, and players like myself might get lost in them...
True, I forgot about it being largely cosmetic, so this may be a bit of a shift. Yet, I think its something that many gamers would be open too. In fact people have been calling out bethesda to fix the bugs that they introduced with the latest patch.Creation Club seemed to be mostly just cosmetic stuff last I looked.
My impression, first they have attained a high level of immersion, the environment is a simple version of life, the visuals and action are incredible, there's a simplified purpose, the camaraderie you feel makes you feel like you're at home sort of. I love Railroad members even Desdemona as cold and distant as she is. In Cyberpunk, I love the Nomads. You might even imagine yourself as a member, although the game does not allow you to do things as you might if you were actually living with them. A certain end of that game, and your riding into the sunset on a Basilisk with PanAm keeping you company, still touches me as uncertain as your character's future is.Totally agree with you.
I’m not sure why I find wandering around in ruined future game worlds to be cosy, but there you go.
I'm liking Fallout although the atmosphere feels very different from the game, it is the same ecosystem.True, I forgot about it being largely cosmetic, so this may be a bit of a shift. I'm sure they'll be timing this update to coincide with the release of season two of Amazon's fallout show.

Agreed I think that AI is providing for npc characters. Given that it’s slightly glitchy right now, using it for a traditionally glitchy robot or AI in fallout seems a good match! My impression, first they have attained a high level of immersion, the environment is a simple version of life, the visuals and action are incredible, there's a simplified purpose, the camaraderie you feel makes you feel like you're at home sort of. Even a simulated love life as shallow as it is, can be a nice complement to your immersion, and we do have imaginations. I remember on my first play though during a fight in the Corvega Auto Plant and Piper dissapeared on me. I was not attached to her yet, but it made me sad she had been killed. And then suddenly there she was again and I was happy.(I frequently use a Console command to bring my companion to me if we get separated.) This was before I realized Companions can't die in this game, even settlers can't die unless you install a mod that allows them to die, which I used because I thought it was too unrealistic if none of your settlers can die. But my companion? I don't want to be a mental wreck and I better understand stories during war where couples fight together and how one of them might want the other to stay home out of harms way.
AI offers the promise of dynamic conversations. The danger and the sky is the limit. I recently posted about Whispers from a Star in the AI Game thread. This is the future, there will be no more 4 lines of text to chose from to answer with.
