Periodic sales… They had it on sale when the next gen patch came out.No question, however when I got around to look at GOG, FO4 wasn't 10 bucks.

Oh no question, but since I don't pay attention to Gog, its not something I'll notice when it comesPeriodic sales… They had it on sale when the next gen patch came out.
Patience is a virtue, recently picked up Doom 2016 on GOG for less than $4...No question, however when I got around to look at GOG, FO4 wasn't 10 bucks.
There's your answer...Oh no question, but since I don't pay attention to Gog, its not something I'll notice when it comes
Hmm, milking it. Paid mods, who would of thought?Looks like there may be another update inbound for Fallout 4 - if this YTer is to be beleived
They already had some form of paid mods, i.e., creation club. I'm hopeful is that the bugs introduced with the prior update will be addressed.Hmm, milking it. Paid mods, who would of thought?
Creation Club seemed to be mostly just cosmetic stuff last I looked. They already had some form of paid mods, i.e., creation club. I'm hopeful is that the bugs introduced with the prior update will be addressed.
Totally agree with you.Hmm, milking it. Paid mods, who would of thought?I'm very happy I'm established with F4 on GoG. I don't want my free mods breaking and additionally the story is basically set. I made it about 3 minutes into the video, just can't imagine at this point what could be added to make me want to upgrade to the latest version of the game and see my existing mod bite it.
F4 is one of my 2 current comfort games, it and Cyberpunk 2077. I can go to either one and escape into an alternate reality of my own mental making. I an also imagine a future where these environments make it into non cumbersome VR, and players like myself might get lost in them...
True, I forgot about it being largely cosmetic, so this may be a bit of a shift. Yet, I think its something that many gamers would be open too. In fact people have been calling out bethesda to fix the bugs that they introduced with the latest patch.Creation Club seemed to be mostly just cosmetic stuff last I looked.
My impression, first they have attained a high level of immersion, the environment is a simple version of life, the visuals and action are incredible, there's a simplified purpose, the camaraderie you feel makes you feel like you're at home sort of. I love Railroad members even Desdemona as cold and distant as she is. In Cyberpunk, I love the Nomads. You might even imagine yourself as a member, although the game does not allow you to do things as you might if you were actually living with them. A certain end of that game, and your riding into the sunset on a Basilisk with PanAm keeping you company, still touches me as uncertain as your character's future is.Totally agree with you.
I’m not sure why I find wandering around in ruined future game worlds to be cosy, but there you go.
I'm liking Fallout although the atmosphere feels very different from the game, it is the same ecosystem.True, I forgot about it being largely cosmetic, so this may be a bit of a shift. I'm sure they'll be timing this update to coincide with the release of season two of Amazon's fallout show.

Agreed I think that AI is providing for npc characters. Given that it’s slightly glitchy right now, using it for a traditionally glitchy robot or AI in fallout seems a good match! My impression, first they have attained a high level of immersion, the environment is a simple version of life, the visuals and action are incredible, there's a simplified purpose, the camaraderie you feel makes you feel like you're at home sort of. Even a simulated love life as shallow as it is, can be a nice complement to your immersion, and we do have imaginations. I remember on my first play though during a fight in the Corvega Auto Plant and Piper dissapeared on me. I was not attached to her yet, but it made me sad she had been killed. And then suddenly there she was again and I was happy.(I frequently use a Console command to bring my companion to me if we get separated.) This was before I realized Companions can't die in this game, even settlers can't die unless you install a mod that allows them to die, which I used because I thought it was too unrealistic if none of your settlers can die. But my companion? I don't want to be a mental wreck and I better understand stories during war where couples fight together and how one of them might want the other to stay home out of harms way.
AI offers the promise of dynamic conversations. The danger and the sky is the limit. I recently posted about Whispers from a Star in the AI Game thread. This is the future, there will be no more 4 lines of text to chose from to answer with.
I started a new play through, looking to do a deep dive in the game. I'm unsure what faction, though I may be tempted to do the best ending, where you can keep all factions alive.
First part, is to grind to get my character leveled up with semi-decent weapons and armor.
One thing that I've largely done with past few play throughs is not use console commands - I'll keep up with that.
Crossover, one of the benefits of Crossover (vs Geoforce), is I can manage the local files. Since I have the latest version of FO4, I need to delete the creationclub addons that came with the last patch. I also removed some of the DLCs, so as not to get BOS quests in far harbor before I get to visit far harborAre you using Geoforce Now or Crossover ?
When I look at images like these, it fills me with such a sense of longing that I fear for Fallout 5, I’ll be a $70 sucker. But, there’s hope that I’ll resist until the critical reviews fall, not the in advance “sales job” reviews.
Haha. 😛You can always enjoy Starfield while waiting on the Fallout 5 reviews.
So much promise, so much disappointment. Todd has really been firing blanks lately, and that has many people worried. I doubt that we'll see FO5 anytime soon, the next game up is Elders Scrolls game, and that's still several years away, then add another 5+ years for FO5 and we're looking at 2035 - 2040 (how crazy does that sound - 2040). I was born in the 1960s and now we're talking about 2040s Wow.You can always enjoy Starfield while waiting on the Fallout 5 reviews.
I 'may' have 13 more years of gaming in me if that which will put me at 85, 2038... I'll be living full time in alternate realities by then. Maybe it'll be a simfied load your brain into a virtual reality space without all the gear. If they offered a port mounted behind your ear to plug in for such a purpose, my bet is it would be a runaway success, and the end of the world. So much promise, so much disappointment. I'm running it on a M4 Max Studio, I had a M4 Pro, but found the performance to be lacking. I think it was more GPU cores more then ram availability.what are you running it on and do you find it memory dependent?
what are you running it on and do you find it memory dependent? I played through Fallout London on my old iMac, but theres dlc coming out for that and id probably rather play it on my MacBook m2, but its only 8gb so maybe an issue.
