Crossover, one of the benefits of Crossover (vs Geoforce), is I can manage the local files. Since I have the latest version of FO4, I need to delete the creationclub addons that came with the last patch. I also removed some of the DLCs, so as not to get BOS quests in far harbor before I get to visit far harbor
This last play through, being sent to Far Harbor for radiant quests was annoying, before I was ready to spend a lot of time in Far Harbor. The fights up there are relatively intense as compared to the Commonwealth.

Yep, I learned early on to keep them uninstalled until such time that I want to do them. Truth be told, and I know this is heresy, but I never really enjoyed Far Harbor, I liked NukaWorld a lot more. With that said, because of that, Ive not done Far Harbor, so I'll dip my toe into that DLC from time time to time.

One of things that I like but I needed to get used too, was that as I level up, the enemies get harder, with Fallout 76, its less refined, enemies get harder in classes of level, i.e., level 1-15, level 25-50, etc. Being a live service game, the player has no upper threshold on their level, but enemies top out at 100.

Playing the FO4, takes more strategy, then wandering Appalachia in Fallout 76

Far Harbor was less appealing to me by virtue of almost constant radiation exposure, and I dislike being sent up there on radiant quests from the BOS, like what do they know about Far Harbor? But I’ve always completed it because I like the outpost nature of the setting. I had serious issues with NukaWorld and becoming head of the Raiders until I figured out I could kill them all which kinda short changes the DLC? But is fun none the less, as you free all the oppressed within its confines. 🙂

Happy Fallout day

Bethesda as an announcement, and everyone expects that they'll be announcing Fallout 3 remastered. Still nice to remember the day the bombs fall - Oct 23rd 2077

Fallout 4 Anniversary edition, sort of underwhelming - just another retread, though its now including the creation club and now it has "creations" Not sure how different that will be from the creation club.

Coming November 10th.

Its also coming on the Switch 2 in 2026

They mentioned Fallout New Vegas' 15th year anniversary edition, seems like just physical stuff along with the game, no remaster or anything

I’m more than satisfied with the pre-Fallout 4 Edition procured from GOG with updates turned the hell off. 🙃

I don't mind the patched version, insofar as I don't use mods. I'm just annoyed though that they kept building up this fallout day thing, and all they're doing is re-releasing FO4, and I suspect for a price. I have the GOY version, but to get the anniversary one, I bet I have to pay up - not something I'm willing to do.

The sad part was I was willing to drop $$ on a remastered FO3 or FONV right there and then

I think the anniversary edition was the most embarrassing. 140 euro for a 15 year old game in a pc box with some plastic toys.

creations I get the impression, allow 3rd party people to charge for their mods. which for me, if it brings more content im up for it. but not sure the modding community are.

But it's bizarre. a Fallout 3 or Fallout New Vegas remake is printing money, why would you not do this?

Fallout 4 super mutants are a lot tougher and harder hitting, and its been a fun journey to walk around in the commonwealth. I know, at some point my weapons, armor and SPECIAL will allow me to easily put them down but I've been taking my time playing.

I'm having a hard time deciding if I want to side with the raiders in the Nukaworld DLC, or wipe them out. I normally wipe them out, but I do like the armor that the disciples wear. I'm semi-tempted to have them head into the commonwealth and take over settlements, this pisses Garvey off, but it does allow me to finish the DLC

Interesting take on how people have been complaining about Bethesda and they [mis]handled fallout day.

For me the frustration is that they hyped up the fallout day announcements making it sound like we'll be seeing Fallout 3 or Fallout NV remastered, but instead we got an paid anniversary edition of fallout 4 which supposedly fixes the bugs and brokenness that last years free update broke. Add in the increase in mods/creation club that I don't think too many people really like. The teasing of fallout NV, only to over the same game with a bunch of toys for 150 dollars is incredibly insulting and tone deaf.

I wonder how many purchases they were rewarded with? My guess is they’ve pissed off much of the base. They will be awarded appropriately. I would have been pissed if I had been forced by the Steam version to upgrade, but I had an out (GOG). 🙃

The anniversary edition is getting review bombed, and may I say rightfully so

Review youtubers have been brutal, because the anniversary upgrade for existing owners is 40 bucks, and the quality of what you get seems to be sub par.
