What do you mean you can't find it? They always have it at Ralphs during the summer. Where do you find Oregon Honey Beer?

Sorry to bring this back, but I ran across it while searching "miller high life" on macrumors. It is, after all, getting to be cookout season. Or, as we say in Wisconsin, frying out.
In case you haven't guessed, my favorite is Miller High Life. Refreshing and delicious.
I guess I'm not as much a high brow beer snob as many of the other macrumors members. So many other beers taste like skunk to me.

I'm drinking a Sam Adams Nobel Pils. Very nice.
As for Miller High Life, no thanks. I remember tasting it when I was much younger and not liking it. My cousin told me it was made from Clydesdale horse piss. Never drank another one again. 😀

LOL.. Ralphs or Vons.... Comes in a bright redish six pack holder with bees on it. It is sooo tasty!

Have you tried Murphy's? It is very good also..
I have been really digging Sam Adams Nobel Pils... Had a black and sam at TGIF with it and it is really good that way also. By far though if you like black and tans style mixing, try Sams Oktoberfest and Guinness. Ohhhhhhhhh.

I wouldn't call myself a highbrow beer fan, meaning that I drink the more expensive beer just because. I guzzled Bud-Miller-Coors during $5 drink and drown nights and didn't understand why people liked beer. However, when I tried Lindeman's framboise beer, I finally understood why people liked beer.
Anyway, when it comes to summer beers, I heart Hoegaarden. When I drink this beer, I don't understand why people drink B-M-C.
I'm definitely a fan of the European beers (living in the UK it's pretty much all we have). My favourites would be Becks, Kronenberg and Grolsch.

Anything from Belgium, pretty much. I remember sipping a lovely beer on the Grote Markt. Boy, that was something else. Also fond, but vague, memories of Belgo in London. Why do pink elephants figure in this? Was there a beer with them on the bottle or glass?

If you want to find the best beers on Earth, you either have to go to Belgium (wine cellar temperature top-fermented beers and ales) or southern Germany and the nearby Czech Republic (near-freezing temperature bottom-fermented beers).
Americans prefer Pilsner-style near-freezing temperature beer because of the influence of German immigrants that started up breweries in the USA in the first half of the 19th Century--and these breweries spread beer fast across the USA when refrigerated railroad boxcars became widely available after the Civil War.

One of my all time favorites now, but I couldn't find an image of it anywhere, not even on the brewers website, so here is a picture of their regular IPA (which is still very good).
It's called Homo Erectus by Walking Man Brewery in Stevenson, Washington. It's an Imperial IPA, 9.0% ABV while remaining very drinkable and damn tasty.

Of the (mostly) mainstream beers I like this Czech beer called Velkopopovický Kozel as well as a Bristish ale called Doombar.
Tho I'm normally game for any guest ales at my local. I recently had a pint of a really dark ale called 'Engine grease' which was just delicious!
