I like The Contender. The new reality boxing show with Stallone and Sugar Ray Leonard. Although they give away who would be boxing by doing those family pieces on each individual. The last two episodes, they got rid of the the pre-fight press conference, which I thought looked too staged.

It's looking hopeful that Arrested Development might get renewed after all. I think Fox is finally seeing what a fan base it has.

Speaking of which, did anyone watch it this last Sunday? It was maybe the funniest episode this season. I particularly enjoyed watching Tobias (David Cross) dressed up as a British nanny :)

First TV show I ever fell in love with was Lost in Space, back in the early episodes when it was completely serious. That show was the one that awakened my "sense of wonder". I still like it, though I strongly dislike the silly turn it took.

All-time favorite? Sorry, I can't pick just one. It'd have to be a tie between:

The Prisoner
Nowhere Man
(after which I took my screen name)
The X Files
M*A*S*H
Babylon 5

Favs:
Hogans Heroes-just got season 1 the other day....classic.
Monk-This is one of the most underrated shows ever. Fantastic! Can't wait for season 3 dvd and season 4!
M.A.S.H-Another classic
24-Heard alot about it so watched some last week, awesome.

CSI - since the start, but only the original
House is pretty good

from the way back machine:
Quantum Leap
Star Trek - original and the next gen

The part where Tobias and Buster were crying really cracks me up. (so does the Dustbuster joke) hahaha... :D

Man... there are so many hidden spoofs and jokes that I would have to watch it twice.

I think that it is patently obvious in my case... ;)

close runners up:

Flying circus
Seinfeld
Father Ted
Frasier (never watched as much as I wished, have to get it on DVD)

Blue Velvet, Lynch was the first thing I thought of when I saw your screenname. Never got around to asking you though. Great stuff! Esp Dennis Hopper.

tv shows:

then: MASH

now: Family Guy
Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends

The best was during GOB's video he made for George Michael, when he says "Steve Holt is a bastard," and then later out you find out that Steve Holt really doesn't know who his father is...he goes and has a test done, and it's GOB! "So is that what's gonna happen to my hair?"

All-time favorite... for me, that's easy: Babylon 5. The writing was so beyond any other TV show I'd ever seen, and the way the images and the music melded together was simply amazing... the scene from The Fall of Night (the final episode of Season 2) where Kosh reveals himself as an angel (or someone who LOOKS like an angel, anyway) still gives me shivers.

Favorite All Time Programs (old programs):
Dukes of Hazzard
Knight Rider
A - Team

Favorite All Time Programs (new programs):
Stargate SG1
Stargate Atlantis
Battlestar Galatica (new series)

Favorite All Time Programs (no longer showing, but more recent):
Firefly
Farscape

Favorite reality show:
Survivor
The Amazing Race

And... my favorite all time show:
Farscape

I actually haven't had a TV for about 6 years now, but my all-time favorite show was definitely Twin Peaks (I'm with you Blue Velvet... weird=good, and Lynch is the absolute master). In fact, I was so obsessed with this show that I had one very large section of my wall (as a teenager) decorated with anything and everything Twin Peaks and Lynch. I cut out all these photos from magazines and arranged them artfully in a giant Twin Peaks shrine on the wall. (Yeah, my parents were probably somewhat disturbed.)

I also had a couple of Twin Peaks t-shirts and I somehow managed to dig up an ERASERHEAD shirt too! Wish I know what the heck I did with that... What a find. :)

I almost forgot that I loved Starsky and Hutch when I was a kid.
It amused me to find out recently that Hutch's beaten up old wreck of a car was faster than Starskys pimpmobile.

Lots that have already been mentioned, but here are a few more.

Kids in the hall
Who's line is it (either version, but as a yank, the american one tends to make more sense)
Saturday Night Live has moments of greatness, but too often is pretty bad
The Daily Show until about after a week after the election and now I am so burned out on politics I have not found it interesting.

As a kid I always like the Electric Company and the Bloodhound Gang. I was talking to a lesbian friend of mine a while back and Bloodhound Gang came up. I asked her how much of a crush she had on Pepper and was told " AGGHH, get out of my head!" :D

Current favs also include The Thirsty Traveler, Cooks Tour, Dwell and Good Eats. I tend to ignore most prime time shows, generally dislike "reality" shows and find most of the spin offs of CSI and L&O to be not nearly as good as the originals.

Alton is the man! I've heard people refer to him as the "food hacker" :)

Wow..someone else out there remembers (and likes) this show! One of the great cult shows of all time.

Right now: Family Guy
All-time: M*A*S*H and Seinfeld
Oh, and best game show *ever*: Win Ben Stein's Money
It was too bad that for as smart as you had to be to beat Stein, you only won $5,000 for your effort.
