Family Guy. I love that show.

Also love the Simpsons and South Park, but Family Guy is still better than those 2. Anxiously awating the new season

Yeah, but Family Guy exploits minorities and persons with weight disadvantages for comedic effect. As well, it is not so family orientated since a lot of the jokes are crass and not suitable for the majority of viewers. Family groups oppose this cartoon for it's deplorable depiction of the elderly, of violence against mothers, and cruelty to animals. So that being said, it's a great show and I too find it immensely enjoyable.

lol

Family Guy is definitely an equal-opportunity offender.

Now:
Carnivale (soon to be in gone but not forgotten section?)
CSI (original, not NY and DEFIANTELY not Miami)
Nip/Tuck (!!!)
Penn and Teller's Bullsh*t
Family Guy (cancelled but returning!)

Gone but not forgotten:
Dead Like Me
Miracles
Six Feet Under Season's 1 and 2 (last season was horrible, next season is its last so yeah -- it belongs here)

My life wouldn't be complete without my Buffy DVDs... when i need advice I put on an episode... (The Gospel According to Joss Wheadon, Chapter 7 Verse 22 - "Chosen")

Buffy and Battlestar

Have to be Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Close second: the new Battlestar Galactica. Wow! That was some season finale! (Even non sci-fin fans should check it out--they are starting over soon with the mini-series that started the new Galactica.)

Close third (would probably be second if it was still on): Firefly--get the DVDs! I can't wait for the movie ("Serenity") this fall. (Hard to go wrong with Joss Whedon shows... as several other posters here seem to agree :) )

Runners up:

Angel... basically part of Buffy

Twin Peaks (long live the Little Pine Weasel!)

Coupling (the UK version) and The Office (the UK version)

Lots of crime stuff from the BBC--like Prime Suspect

(For the record, I'm American... but those BBC things remade here make my flesh crawl!)

And Seinfeld and the Simpsons are still classics.

I also watch Smallville but I can't say it's in the same league as the above :)

MacGyver was one of my favorites before RDA became an ******* and budget cuts forced the show to have less "worldly" adventures.

In no particular order--
CSI: Vegas
Alias
Sex and the City
The L Word
Queer as Folk

Cartoons:
Muppet Babies
Gargoyles
Batman
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Captain Planet

Currently airing shows:

24
Alias (earlier seasons were better)
Lost
Law and Order: SVU
The O.C. (very very addicting)
Family Guy
American Dad
Arrested Development
Malcolm in the Middle (canceled now, quite a shame)
The Simpsons (not as good as they used to be by a long shot)
Aqua Teen Hunger Force

Older:

Seinfeld
Futurama
Kids in the Hall
The Flash (one season wonder....loved it as a kid)
Sesame Street: American and Canadian versions
Animaniacs
Batman: The Animated Series

Just a vague representation but I likes my TV either way

All time favourites:
Blackadder
Father Ted
Fawlty Towers
The Office
Monty Python
The Young Ones
Bottom
South Park
Married With Children
Family guy (although season 4 sucks imo)

And just for the coolness when I was a kid
- MacGyver
- The A-Team
Altough I still enjoy those anyway

And for those who speak Dutch:
Het Eiland

None of my favorites shows has been named. I'm suprised :

1. The Cosby show
2. Fresh prince of Bel-air
3. Quantum Leap

Quantum Leap is also one of my all time favorites. Ziwi in post 80 also named it as a favorite.

I use to watch The Cosby Show and the Fresh Prince and I loved them both.

fave shows:
CSI
LO:SVU
Arrested Development
Reno 911!

and, I am terribly shamed to share this, seasons 1-4 of charmed. (look, even in my haze of crushs on scantily clad women I realize there's a floor.)

Yes Minister, Yes Prime Minister, Fawlty Towers, MASH, Law and Order, Frasier (not since Niles and Daphne hooked up), The Professionals, The Avengers (best with Diana Rigg but Joanna Lumley was good too), Monty Pythons Flying Circus.

That's enough but it's misleading. I watch very little TV these days.

24 is amazingly addicting, others include but are not limited to (in no particular order):
Family Guy
Smallville
Sopranos
The OC :)D I know, don't say it)
SG-1 (most seasons)
CSI
South Park
MTV shi* (real world, road rules, battle of the sexes) (mostly poor programs but addicting for background noise)
Battlestar Galactica
Alias
More I am sure, this suffices. To actually answer the question, favorite is probably 24 but it could influenced because I just finished season 4 HD rips of Fox , thankfully French co-workers like it too and aquired it for me.

Far too many I'll admit, but being in college and unmotivated to study, I watch a lot of television. Funny thing is being France with no TV, other than the shows I left mid-season, I don't feel like I am missing anything, which I'm glad I can say otherwise I would be worried.

JAG! I'm also into The Apprentice right now and I'm really liking Without a Trace.

allison.

i sometimes watch jag and i like it very much

was jag a spinoff of melrose place? (which was a spin off of beverly hills 90210)

i thought the commander was a character on melrose place for a couple episodes as a guest spot a year or two before jag became a show...or maybe he was a recurring character but not a regular

i think some producer liked him so much that when they decided to make jag, he was in the running and the rest is history

a major league jag fan should know this and know what roles or parts the jag characters had before jag was on

It was? A real spin off, or just "same-****-different-timeslot" from Señor Spelling?

i finally googled jag and i found out david james elliot (that's just one of the names the actor has gone under) was a character named "terry parsons" on melrose place in 1994 and 1995, but i have no idea if terry parsons was a naval jag officer

i do remember a naval officer character from melrose place who was a part time character but i don't know if it was terry parsons

so all one has to find out is, "who was terry parsons from melrose place in 1994 and 1995 and was jag created from that character?"
